If having to put 700 dollars into the car before my vacation wasn't enough. Somebody for no damn reason found the need to break into my car outside the hotel in the one damn spot that doesn't have cameras. So this made my morning so much better for my vacation. Now I gotta drive home with garbage bags tied to my windshield. So if by some small chance the low life idiot who did this is on imgur I just wanna say, fuck you!

storytime

Don't need a back window unless its raining. Clean out the glass, drive home. Crack a front window to prevent exhaust backflow.

My sister threw up in my car last night, I had to drive to work in it this morning.

@OP, the perp was probably an employee of the hotel. They'd know what isn't under cameras.

Fuck that guy.

:(

Pretty sure nobody breaks into a car for no reason. He wanted to steal your shit for sure.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Blue crystals, I think we all know whom the culprit is...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My car has been broken into twice. I know your pain. I hope your insurance covers it.

If I admitted to doing this would I get downvoted or upvoted

Broken back window hack!... Leave open and thread fishhooks through the headrests for a fun midnight thievery catch next week!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In my defense....it wasn't me

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Something tells me this is strangely....False

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Was this in Texas?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Was your windsheild made of meth?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why you hide your shit so people don't have a good reason to break into your car other than to steal the whole car.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I hope their little ass grows SHUT!?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude. Call safelite. they come to your location and insurance handles it. Only one phone call they do the rest.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Wow dude. that fucking sucks.. Hopefully everything gets settled! Much love. papa bless!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

where I live, people will break into your car for loose change.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now you know to park where the cameras can see.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

'oh hey this windshield looks very nice to smash! I have nothing better to do with my life!'

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Karma will get them! Trust me! :( Sooooo sorry this happened!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It seems like there are more subtle ways to break into a car.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

quicker too, if you have the right tools

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well that sucks.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

oi cunt if u use bags to seal it u cant open windows when u drive ay

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As a NZer, I found the Auzzie

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

too right cobba, ur a smart fucker ayee

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was anythi g missing? Seems odd to break in through the back window. Heat can shatter them. (Expansion/contraction) from heat.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As can idiots with skateboards

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

was just thinking this. Seemed odd, its not the window you want to break if you want to steal something, and looks like its not a recent car

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Heat between 4 and 9 am?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Happens in Texas. A LOT

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sorry man, i hope that insurance will help you. anything important stolen?

10 years ago | Likes 183 Dislikes 0

I was once standing near a friend's car talking, and suddenly his driver window shattered without any fucking reason. Just like that.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

OP's tape deck, some Creedence tapes, and a briefcase full of... uh, work papers.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

That's, like, your opinion man

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They got four more detectives working on the case. They got us working in shifts.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In these cases, insurance will happily increase your rates for reporting it at all. At least in my experience.

10 years ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 3

Yep. Better off paying for windows out of pocket unless a lot of property was damaged/stolen during said break-in.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Really? We have comprehensive and collision. Comp means no increase (rock, break-in, etc) but collision means it goes up. That's fucked.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah these people need to switch

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get an insurance company that isn't a butthole.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Insurance is like a license to steal from 90% of people

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Property there is some money to cover that. Liability in the us is covered 100% by the company up to the limit selected.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some states don't require it, some require very little. And what they do require is to make sure if you hurt someone or damage 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well in my states. It requires a sizable amount and then they fight you to cover what they're supposed to no matter what company

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My rates went up another $10 for a deer running into my car at night.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Is the deer ok?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Get well soon!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Who do you have?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How careless of you, leaving your car in the path of that deer.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As someone who lives in rural wyoming, this. Fuck deer, they're everywhere and insurance loves it because they can screw you over.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My company won't increase for deer. Not at fault won't raise the rate assuming you run that sucker over at not serve into a tree

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What company is that?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

USA is messed up in every way!? We get a free windscreen replacement every year as an option with our insurance in Australia

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

Usually depends on the state. MA,ny,AZ all have full glass. Some others too. But if your not in a state that allows it, comp usually 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Will after the deductible but most carry $500 which won't allow the company to cover anything.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My insurance company provides free windscreen replacement as well. The thing is a lot of people budget insurance that doesn't provide this.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I understand many people can't afford full coverage and have to stick with liability only. But some people just don't want to pay extra.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's what happens with rampant capitalism.. they don't understand a little socialism is beneficial to the general public..

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

And they will happily scream about how things that work for the rest of the world couldn't possibly be made to work for them as well.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't let them hear you. They'll hang you for using that word in positive context.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lol, I'm actually surprised I went from negative points to positive

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

damn, judging from other comments, American insurance companies suck? glass are no excess and doesn't increase rate in most nz insurers

10 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 2

HAH, enjoy our crappy internet.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah I work for one of the largest. Theft and vandalism won't cause your policy to go up unless it happens like 5 times in 6 months.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

HA mine spiked after my catalytic converter got stolen. I live in a gated apt complex.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

they see the damage/theft as you living/working in a higher risk area, which justifies a higher rate.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

makes sense, sounds like someone should shake up the market with a new insurance company :D

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I didn't say I agreed with it, but that's the reality of why it happens.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Greedy bastards, not so?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yup! Reported my rear left passenger window broke. Insurance didn't cover it, so I paid out of pocket for repairs. Monthly bill went up $5.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Don't rates always go up every year?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I feel it should be illegal for them to increase your rates from an incident unless they actually partially/fully cover repairs.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Next time you could have an accident that needs insurance to pay out for injuries etc. That's what is being reviewed, not if they paid ornot

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Insurance is based off risk. If something happens statistics just show your more likely to have another accident again shortly after.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But the government don't give a shit

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

My rate went up $10 a month just because I moved 5 miles down the road into a different zip code. No tickets/accidents, just diff zip code.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I mean they have to draw the line somewhere. Zip codes are the most common. Sometimes tax districts are used. ...
