2 officers stopped to help a boy changing a bike tire after noticing he was struggling on his own

good_cops

Most of the times I see people using one of those stations, they don't use the part that you hang the bike on to work on the tires.

Keep showin’ this shit; Cops that are assholes might figure it out. AND good guy cops get some props.

On Halloween our ambulance company issued candy baskets to drive around and give to trick or treaters between calls

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why...why didn’t they help him change his bike tire?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

If you change a boy's tire, he can ride his bike. But if you teach a boy how to change his own tire, he'll ride for a lifetime.

We need lots of this working together Thank you officers

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why would the cops help someone change the tire on a bike they stole?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Huh it's like not all police officers are a holes. Who knew ?

Protect and serve. Greetings from Argentine cop antiriot! (sry potato English)

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Cops where I'm from sit in their cars and laugh at people struggling.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

As a regular dude living his life and having had run ins with the law, I can assure you the good cops far outnumber the shitty ones.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

This is what community policing looks like! Police as members of the community being awesome neighbors with badges. Yes, more please!

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Who are these guys? I’m the first to give hell to bad cops, but we’ll change nothing if we don’t celebrate this kind of police activity!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I remember when I was 18 I was sitting on my truck’s tailgate smoking a cigarette in the rain around midnight in the alley behind the 1/3

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

restaurant I worked at. I just finished my shift and a cop drove by then stopped just to ask me if I was okay. It meant a lot more to me 2/3

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

than it did to him but I still think about that sometimes years later.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This kinda stuff doesn't make the news because it doesn't stir up trouble... And I hate that...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it's on imgur tho and it makes the news where I'm from

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More. Of. This.

7 years ago | Likes 719 Dislikes 9

This happens all the time. Its better to have this and not publicize it

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

At 11

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

There is.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah! Damn kids not having broken bikes... what's wrong with you

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Community policing is a rare thing nowadays.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not as rare as you think, our guys actively look for opportunities

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You and me both!

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

here you go

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isnt that the guy from Sense8?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Acts of kindness like this go on all over the world every day.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

But if a random person punches a random person of a different race and says it's because of race we all hear about it. But not this stuff.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You wanna see struggling kids, you sadistic Malamute?

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I didnt realize malamute's were well know for their sadism.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Where do you thing ball gags came from? I have no idea what I'm talking about btw

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Under that extreme poof of a fluffy coat and that silly look on their face lies the heart of passive aggressive hate

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is a wonderful sight. Wish I’d see more cops out of their patrol cars and interacting with the community

7 years ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 4

I see it all the time. I’ve seen many cops pull over to help people change tires on cars. I’ve seen cops buy food for the homeless. Etc.

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I pulled over to help a cop onetime cause he had a flat on his cruiser. He was very nasty and told me to go away.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But thats only a snall percentage of them that are nasty and crooked. Most are pretty cool

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m a retired police officer. My main complaint about younger officers is cell phone use. Get off the phone and talk to people you serve

7 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 3

Good man, Bobo

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They're allowed to chat on the phone during working hours? Isn't it literally their job to be paying attention to what's around them?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They arnt making phone calls.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Popo porn!

Ohhhhhhh we’ve got an edgy boi!

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

that depends on point of view of who they are serving and protecting

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Well, this time they are serving the public in the best way they can. God go with them. It's not easy being a good cop.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

For the love of God, stop playing the racist card! These 2 officers are truly helping, that's all. + he's a former marine for God's sake!

7 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 8

Seeing people help each other - especially strangers - is always touching. Thank you for sharing. :)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Where is this

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How we downvoting for asking what the fuck is going on here?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Other commenters.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Who gives a fuck if they were a marine? Judge each person individually. being a marine doesn't mean shit. I know some asshole marines.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That kid is a former Marine? Amazing. Also, yes I agree with you.

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

Then they beat his father and locked him up to really fuck the kid up

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

AS IF his dad could be located!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Child soldiers are a very sad situation. The kid needs all the help he can get now.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I commented jokingly “plot twist. He stole the bike” and got a warning.I would have said it if he was any race.didn’t mean to trigger anyone

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Does it matter that he was a marine?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

they tend to be stand up dudes and dudettes.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Only ones I have met come off as meatheads, but I guess it depends on your reference.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who the fuck and how tthe fuck is anyone 'playing the race card' I need someone to explain how that is done like I am 12 please

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some other commenters.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but where tho? all I see is 'he stole that bike comments'... it that playing the race card? or the racist card?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or simply they've deleted their comments after I said that.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm seeing the 'he stole it' ones getting deleted now which is just as good
