A new attendance record for a soccer/football game held in the US was set today.

A US record crowd of 109,318 people were in attendance at a preseason game for Manchester United and Real Madrid. The game was played in the University of Michigan's football stadium.

So they drew a crowd once, with two of the top teams on the planet, that equals the crowd that happens every week in the fall with fball.

So it took those teams, a soccer game still drew an equal size crowd to American Football. It shows what soccer is capable of in the US.

A Soccer game in the US drawing a crowd of equal size to what Football regularly draws is a little more than meh. +1 for reading my post!

Not downplaying your post. Just the fact that this happened. Put beer in a stadium and people will show up to watch anything.

But this is soccer. My hometown team used to play in Arrowhead Stadium, beer was sold, and the crowd never filled the lower section.
