A House committee on Wednesday approved subpoenaing former A.G. Pam Bondi on Wednesday in connection with the release of documents related to the investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
"Bondi played a crucial role in the WH's cover-up of the Epstein files for months and has refused to comply with our joint bipartisan request to release the complete, unredacted files," said Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the committee, in a statement. "The American people deserve transparency, victims deserve justice, and we demand answers."
The motion to subpoena Bondi was filed by Republican Nancy Mace.
