Frickity frack!
BARELY "warms up" by noon.
Thank God I've got the car plugged in, and on a timer.
Can't imagine not having a block heater & battery blanket at these temperatures. Ya know, for those of us garage-less folk....
DV away. Just thought I'd share this frozen hell, so you can say "glad I'm not there!".

A little brisk!

At those temps you'll need a hose teaser just to be able to take a leak.

So it's a little nippy out?

Guess whose furnace died last night…

It's 11:30 pm here, and 24°c. Nice cool breeze too. Anyway, good luck with your battery blanket thing.

Yeah, it's the same. Really fucking cold. Oh look, the wind picked up.

I guess not cropping your screenshot is acceptable when your battery percentage is so... nice.

Nice.

I loved having a block heater when I lived in Wisconsin. I suspect that they helped the car live longer.

Was just explaining that to my sister… rule of thumb: hard (CRANKING) start eats 1-2% of ? cycle life. Letting it die eats 10%. There's …

…another estimate for how cold increases internal resistance & also increases the load for starting too. Where are you now, not needing one?
