We finally have two stable sources of income and can stop worrying if we'll make rent, so after paying off our most looming debts and sorting out some essentials we've long been in need of, it was way past time we had some
Big
Ass
Steaks.
Garlic bulb for scale, husband's allergic to bananas so couldn't use one of those.
In the cast iron with some garlicy-butter. They barely fit side-by-side.
Mid-cook. The sizzle was tantalising. (Couldn't get sound to work, sorry :c)
Post-cook, plated with seasoned oven fries and roasted parmesan-garlic asparagus.
First cut. Oh baby. Every bite melted in the mouth.
Dog tax - our 10 year old Boxer, Moet, who was absolutely convinced she deserved a piece. (Spoiler: She got a piece.)

What did you like to eat before becoming financially stable?
Rogahar
Grilled cheese, cheap burgers from frozen patties, pasta-heavy dishes. Cheap but filling stuff.

If he is allergic to bananas he likely is to many vegetable oils. So be aware. Cheers
Rogahar
Thus far he has shown no allergic reaction to anything other than bananas, cat hair and (to his annoyance and more recently) peanuts.

Bro your pan needs to be way hotter. Save the butter towards the end so it doesn’t burn. Your steak got no crust with that low heat.
Rogahar
Well it was my first time cooking it in as many years, and it was effing delicious and juicy, so while I appreciate the tip I think I did >
Rogahar
> good.

All good! Try 8/10 heat in the beginning with olive oil, then after it’s basically done drop to 5/10 and throw in that butter and garlic!
Rogahar
Noted!

Rub the olive oil all over the steaks and not just splash into the pan. At that lol of heat it will smoke instantly
