'What do we got here , YOINK' lol

9 hours ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

If Steve Irwin was from Florida instead of 'Stralia.

8 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The first snake he kicked was a harmless water snake. The one he had in his hand was a highly venemous cottonmouth.

7 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry, did you say Land Crab? 🦀 That's a thing?!?!

8 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We also have these things called Mangrove crabs. They live in Mangrove trees. yes, sometimes they do fall out of them.

6 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ok, I thought for some reason he was throwing the rabbit to the gator, and I'm relieved to see while he's reckless, he's not sadistic.

Throw the constrictors out for the alligators to feed

7 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Found him simply by searching "Yoing guy" on YT https://www.youtube.com/@fishingarrett

10 hours ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

This guy's balls are the size of bocce balls.

11 hours ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

He’s actually an amazing content creator. He’s actively trying to remove invasive species from the glades and other areas he visits.

8 hours ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Literally can't stop laughing at the last boop, there's no way this guy lives past 30.

Were those pythons killed?

8 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes

7 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Keeping the traditions alive.

11 hours ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Isn't that the guy who got mauled by that bear right after taking this picture?

11 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No. He and his girlfriend got eaten at night when trying to camp in bear land.

9 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Grizzly Man" was mauled and killed along with his girlfriend. I think it was well after this particular picture was taken.

the mosquitoes out there gotta be crazy

11 hours ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

7 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, crazy small. I moved from Florida to Oregon. Every Oregonian is like "we have mosquitoes here too and they point to a tarantula with wings tgats fumbling around a window. Thats not the mosquitoes im talking about. The mosquitoes im talking about are the size of a nat and live in swarms of a million. They can empty a cow of blood in seconds, theyll leave your skin burning red, snd theyre too small to catch.

8 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

size of dragonflies.

10 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Those atnt anything. Its the nat sized mzzzzzzzzmzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzmzzzzzzzzzzzz little effers that sting worse than bee. The bigger one are the easier to kill. Its those little ones at dawn or dusk that have you feeling the million odd needles stabbing you past the nervy top flesh and into the bloody subdermis. If you dont know, you're lucky.

I'm from florida. I know of the joy of mosquitos. I remember once we decided to go on a nice little boat ride in some semi-swampy areas in a state park and there was this little island in the middle of the lake. We thought we'd boat out there and hike a bit. it wasn't an island but more just a mushy marshy bit sticking out of the water. as we approached a literal black cloud of mosquitos came out of the island and descended upon us. it was a bad day.

8 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I watched an interview with him where he explained he's part of an org that goes into the Everglades to hunt/eliminate an invasive snake species.

8 hours ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Hunting invasive Burmese pythons. Good for him. Hopefully his easy confidence is warranted based on skill and he lives long enough to catch a bunch of those beautiful, dangerous, destructive vermin.

11 hours ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Do um what happens to them once caught?

7 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you like snakes it's best to not look into it.

7 hours ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

They have to be killed humanely. Unfortunately, there are just too many of them to be rehomed in zoos and stuff. Other invasives he finds that are rarer such as chameleons become pets.

6 hours ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Amd japanese geckos!

7 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This person is "Fishingarrett" on YouTube. He's a conservationist (although it is unclear if he is a professional conservationist, or a recreational one) who removes invasive species from mostly the Florida Everglades. Notice how, if you remove the entertaining voiceover, it's mostly pretty standard conservationist stuff - removing invasive animals and checking on the native ones.

8 hours ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Holy hell the argument that I have spawned.... Lol

3 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Checking on"...? By poking them and throwing rocks... that's not conservation.

8 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 17

Dude, they're wild animals, not fragile artwork make of cotton candy and imagination. Poking an animal or thowing a rock near it isn't hurting it.

8 hours ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

mmmhmmm. So its ok because it's not someones dog or cat? If he "poked" them like that, people Would be calling for his head.

7 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 16

No, they wouldn't. Lightly poking a dog or cat would do nothing to them. You're being silly.

7 hours ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Because they are 20 times bigger. I'm being silly? Ok. I'm silly about people being ignorant and harassing (it WAS a kick) wildlife...?
I'm fine with that 🤷‍♂️

7 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

not nothin, my cat might get offended and move two feet away to continue licking his paw dramatically, with increased contempt, outside of poking range.

6 hours ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

How are we still alive

12 hours ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 2

By avoiding Florida at all costs

For low K breeders there sure are a lot of us

11 hours ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Ketamine breeder?

8 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s been awhile and I don’t remember off hand what the K stands for but it relates to the number to young per breeding cycle. Humans and mammals in general tend to be low K while insects are really fricken High K

7 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's why they burrow in their K-holes because their so freaking high.

5 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Happily, I live in a climate that's too cold for these f*ckers!

9 hours ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Florida Man can withstand the cold for at least a few days. Beware!

9 hours ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

SH*T I was talking about all the crazy animals, but you're right. Florida Man is much more dangerous than nature!

8 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sapiens are OP. Opposable thumbs and expensive but effective brains are a subtle but powerful combination

8 hours ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Don’t forget working in large groups

7 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I throw that under brains, but you're right

4 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Turns out sharp sticks are quite effective vs pretty much everything, and we just kept finding ways to make them even better and better.

7 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I throw that under brains, but you're right

Hey guys I’m out in the Everglades and completely insane.

8 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Boop!

8 hours ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

He's on Steve Irwin levels.

8 hours ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

You don't have to be insane to walk the everglades at night, but it sure does help.

6 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey guys, I don't know and shoes. Let's see what happens when I walk through the Everglades.

8 hours ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Yoink, look its a 200lbs water puppy. Lets set him down over here. Boop, what shiny teeth you have.

8 hours ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

"Im in the Everglades AT NIGHT" is the part that fucks me up. I wouldnt go in the god damn woods at night, much less Murder Swamp City there

8 hours ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

What's the worst that could happen? [grass rustles]

8 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Make fun of this man all you want but he is an absolute redneck unit. This is not your average Florida Man.

11 hours ago | Likes 386 Dislikes 1

No f’n kidding! If someone that STILL has all ten fingers and toes, AND boops and yoinks Florida wildlife like that has some skills. I’d want him on my team that’s for bloody sure!

10 hours ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 2

Some of the bug shots are insane. I itch just thinking about them.

7 hours ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Bro just casually holding a handful of Burmese pythons like it's nothing. I'd shit my pants just seeing one of those things.

8 hours ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

It's a python, not a venomous one. I rather meet one of those over a rattler

7 hours ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I mean I think they are dead so it isn't really dangerous

4 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Out there harassing wildlife needlessly.

11 hours ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 71

There are laws about that... but you'd be hard pressed to find any lawyer willing to take a case like that. Its all filmed and generally harmless. There are people out there hunting endangered species and fucking up whole habitats. He touched some snakes, and one with a toe! AAAAAAAAA. Fucking stupid man. This is one of those times you might, I stress MIGHT, be technically right but that is some trivial, bureaucratic nonsense to worry about. He harmed nothing.

3 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

if you pay attention there is a point to everything he is doing. Invasive snakes is a huge problem in FL. To the point its driving others out to extinction.

10 hours ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 2

Well? Am I wrong?!

9 hours ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 49

Still waiting.... If this was my state, he'd be up for a $50k fine for Interfering with wildlife. No not the pythons, everything else.
Everyone who downvotes is ignorant.

8 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 34

What are you waiting for? You already got your answer. Everyone here knows you're wrong.

7 hours ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

so he filmed some alligators, picked up some native snakes and booped a crab. that's interfering with wildlife?

8 hours ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

The snake he kicked wasn't invasive...

10 hours ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 45

When you go out into the wilderness, you can't just think "I'm only going to be finding one species of animal" and expect all other forms of wildlife to just... not exist for the duration of that trek.

9 hours ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

If you don't know all the species you encounter, you have no business being out there.

8 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 23

Just lucky there is invasive species to hunt, or he'd be killing everything he sees....

8 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 22
