Gonna be honest here

I just post this today because I want the attention

I guess I just feel a bit lonely

Crashing out doesn't help either

I like that people frequently like me posting

Makes me feel special or something

Makes me feel happy and gooey

So yeah that is usually my main reason for posting

I mean, it brings some happy to some people kinda

Makes me feel appreciated

Maybe a little selfish

But it is the truth

Doesn't everyone here post for selfish reasons?

Anyway, am really fucking tired

Weather was shit today

Very persistent drizzle

The kind that is not wet but does soak you

Really sucks

I also realised I haven't seen sun in 2 weeks

I want sun

I miss sun light

December is evil

I understand why Christmas became a thing

Because you need something in this misery

So yeah, done rambling

Have fun

Hope you like

Hope it gives me some points

Might post again soon

Reading the audio book while out lately, Peter Capaldi is a good voice actor, the BBC/Netflix show completely wasted him as Kehaar, his Kehaar in the audio book is amazing

Also the book is amazing

Rat tax

#42 Today's (American) kids will never know the thrill of rocketing down a 1 1/2-lane unmarked blacktop road with twists like a spasming blacksnake at well over highway speed at 2 AM and only just catching the writing on the 'STATE MAINTENANCE ENDS' sign in the periphery of your headlights before you go sailing off the pavement and into the Maitlands' post-mortem front yard.

It did go rather viral

I took a nap today and dreamt a girl was coming in for a kiss and I woke up trying to kiss my cat, who was like, wtf man, we're just roommates.

#33 Yeah, dude. I watched some old Macgyver, Columbo, and Golden Girls and I think it is hilarious how douchebags whine about how "Woke" everything is now. Tolerance and human decency in television isn't what's new... On that topic, I have terrible news for them about star trek....

I just reread Skin Game, but I suppose I could reread that one too.

Hey @OP, I just want to say I've always enjoyed your posts, regardless of subject, & I'm sorry you're low. Have another upvote, & hang loose

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't really know what you mean with hang loose, but my thoughts are more on the inappropriate side, and to that I say "I want to but it is too cold"

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

LOL. It's cold here too. --Sorry, bro. I am old & dated. "Hang loose" is a hand gesture with friendly intent often associated with Hawaii & surf culture from the 19th century LOL -a concept of friendship, understanding, compassion, & solidarity https://clipground.com/images/hang-loose-clipart-7.jpg

#37 Death is never really the one who kills you. Neither is Hades. They may be grim, it is their nature, but they’re not cruel or evil or vindictive. I think it would be much worse to face the afterlife without Death, to have to turn and walk, alone, into eternity. A soul faced with that might be reluctant to take a step, and perhaps they could be forgiven their cowardice because no one ever wants to face their mortality while they are alive, why should dying change that?

Good luck motherfuckers! Learn to touch type!

It's really not cool to pretend that you were the protagonist in well-known memes.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

That's where I got the idea.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Well, they do say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Or is that copyright infringement? I can never keep those 2 straight...

Next time I do something like that I plan on filling it with Bailey's.

#32 her parents doomed her

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#36 I watched this when I was 8 years old, and for years nobody else I knew had seen it (their parents clearly had better sense in that regard than my own) so eventually I stopped asking people about it, thinking that it was something horrific from my own nightmarish imagination. TEN YEARS LATER someone else brought it up and I nearly wept with joy at learning it was real.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do really recommend the book, it is much better than the movie, the graphic novel is the best adaptation of the book too

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You'd better believe that the first thing I did after learning that the movie existed was learn that it was based off a book and buy a copy. Took me months to find a copy of the movie (this was before streaming and when Amazon was still just books), but the book was easy to track down.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The graphic novel released this year, it is a very good adaptation, the best even

Oh, and upvotes/likes/wtfever give dopamine kicks, similar to slot machines, just in lower levels.
Of course everyone posts for selfish reasons ;)
Just, you still make people happy as well.
That's a fair deal ;)

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I appreciate you going out and gathering all of these memes and posting them where I can easily enjoy them. It Is Said.

Actually zoned out into your story in the comments.

#36 brighten your mood with a wonderfully light hearted studio ghibli flic next, may I recommend grave of the fireflies.

1 year ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

I walked into a customer's house one day and their kids that look to be between 4:00 and 7:00 we're watching Kiki's delivery service. I commented I liked that movie as well, and they said they bought a collection of Ghibli movies for their kids and have never seen them. Princess mononoke was among them. Against my better judgment I told the parents they should watch that one themselves before having the kids watch it.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

4:00 and 7:00 in the morning?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, those 24hr clock-names, otherwise they'd be 1600 and 1900

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Personally I recommend the heart warming tale of a boy and his dog, A Dog of Flanders. It's really sweet at the end, they go to church on Christmas.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oh, if you like dogs you definitely need to watch this movie called Plague Dogs

My favorite dog move/book is Where the Red Fern Grows

#28 I use a Cybertruck to peel my fruits and veggies.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd say, about 3.50

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're multiple use?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#6 I don’t get this one. I promise, I tried.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Look at the order the keys are in.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks! Moron me was too fixated on the red keys to look at the others. It's been one of those days!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She "fixed" the keyboard by putting the key caps in alphabetical order ("abcd- and so on") when keyboards are generally arranged....not like that.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Uggggh! I was distracted by the red ones so completely forgot to look at the entire keyboard! Thank you. 😊

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#6 If you know how to type with more than two fingers, this shouldn't affect you much...

I'm more curious about the significance of the red keys..?

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

WASD for gamers, frequently used to move characters

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

35+ years of muscle memory would make that more difficult than you'd imagine.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The key caps shouldn't affect the actual keys

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Indeed, well minus the F and J bumps.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

well for higher end keyboards it might. The different rows (usually just the bottom of the 3 letter rows) will be lower/shorter than the back rows(the keycaps are slightly higher) but for most keyboards they won't.

You may want to rethink that:

#6 'Qwerty' was invented because manual typewriter keys would jam up if typed too quickly. It was intended to slow you down. Unfortunately, it's become the norm and Dvorak and Colemak have been ignored by most manufacturers of keyboards...

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's a myth. They tried many layouts and the inventor settled on QWERTY because he could impress investors by typing "typewriter quote" quickly from one line.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Also keycaps don't affect the actual buttons that are pressed, otherwise the ridiculous Dutch keyboard layout would not exist because all keyboards in the Netherlands have the American layout on the keycaps, good luck trying to set up a computer when it defaults to a Dutch keyboard layout and you can't find the fucking @ because shift-2 is ! for some fucking reason

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How bad is the Dutch keyboard layout? I find AZERTY to be the absolute worst.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is QWERTY, but all the punctuation marks are completely in different places, as mentioned shift-2 is ! instead of @, I will look if I can find an image

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was wrong, shift-2 is "

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Keep in mind every single keyboard sold in the Netherlands looks like this (I can't seem to rotate the image)
