Goku vs. Superman Resolved
Ok, I’ve seen this argument plenty of times. Let’s just settle this once and for all and move on with our lives ok? All information taken from the Dragonball Wiki and from Wikipedia and the DC Wiki. If we’re going to compare the two, we should do so based on facts in evidence.
Goku lifts half a city while in his Super Saiyan 4 state, though it leaves him panting doing so.
In the Silver Age and Modern Age Superman is seen moving entire planets. (The earth weighs 5.9736×1024kg.
As of The New 52 reboot, Superman’s strength now exceeds 5.972 sextillion metric tons.
I’m sorry, but Goku would be ANNIHILATED by Superman. This doesn’t mean that Goku is worse by any means, but I’ve gotten tired of seeing this argument. If nothing else, Superman could use his heat vision to lobotomize Goku so he wouldn’t be able to do anything. He did it to Doomsday, he did it to Manchester Black, he could do it to Goku. It’s not “Who would win a popularity contest.” It’s “Who would win a fight.” It’s basic math. Sorted.

You're partially right. Superman's power is almost unlimited in direct sunlight, but he has so much stored that he doesn't need it shining.
