How to play minesweeper in 4k.

So I bought a gaming laptop before going on deployment about 4 and a half years ago so I decided I'd take the next plunge and build my own tower.

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X41 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200
Memory Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State
Drive Storage: *Hitachi Ultrastar 7K3000 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Monitors: Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q 27.0" 144Hz Monitor, Asus VG248QE 24.0" 144Hz Monitor

I'm mostly excited to finally experience skyrim mods (mods in general) now that I finally have a build that can handle it.

Also I play a ton of CS:GO so add me on steam (Gr4FF_y) because I could always use new CS friends!

An i7, a 1080, and a 144hz G-Sync monitor, was your budget unlimited? Also the Dell G-Sync is better...

You way overspent if your primary goals are Skyrim (even modded to the gills) and CS.

Also wanted the extra power for my engineering work too and didn't want to have to keep going to labs to use their computers.

Good call then for engineering.

It's not just them, I play a lot of games but wanted a "future" proof setup for everything else coming out as well.

My future proofing is going to be 2 1080s with a 144Hz 2560x1440 monitor, not just one.
