Des Moines... More Like Dead Moines

In the sadly underrated city of Des Moines, we have a burger joint- Zombie Burger

Everything from the murals on the walls, signs to the bathrooms, and the names of the burgers is zombie and horror movie themed.

They even publish a monthly zombie newspaper, addressing the most current undead issues.

And now for the good stuff- the burgers. They have a wide selection of permenant menu items, as well as weekly specials.

Permanent item: "They're Coming To Get You, Barbara" Burger: 'two grilled-cheese-sandwich' buns, American cheese, carmelized onions, bacon, Zombie sauce

All burgers are available single-, double-, or triple-tap... depending on how many patties you want.

Permanent item: "The Walking Ched" Burger: breaded + deep-fried mac + cheese buns, bacon, Cheddar cheese, carmalized + raw onions, macaroni + cheese, mayo

This is not a place to go if on a diet.

Weekly special: "The Thankskilling" Burger: House-smoked turkey breast, ham, mashed potato croquette, turkey gravy and fried onion rings... all on a stuffing bun. (Cranberry Ketchup available on request.)

Weekly special: "The Coven" Burger: Fried shrimp, andouille sausage patty, Cajun cream sauce, pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo.

A road trip to the great state of Iowa is starting to look pretty good, right?

Weekly special: "The Deux-Nut" Burger - A maple-bacon croissant dough donut, white cheddar cheese, fried egg and more bacon!

Weekly special: The Poultrygeist- Breaded chicken breast, smoked pulled chicken, cheddar cheese, Sweet Heat BBQ sauce, bread + butter pickles.

THIS WEEK's special: The Ron Burgundy burger- Shaved prime rib, fondue cheese sauce, Burgundy wine BBQ sauce & horseradish mayo.

And, a very special 4th of July treat:

The 'MURICA burger: Two patties, American cheese, bacon + Zombie sauce on a bun; wrapped in dough and fried. Topped with Zombie sauce and American flag garnish.
