After decades wandering and being told to man up

General practitioners thought I wanted some doping, refused to see tiredness, and how I couldn't keep a job for more than 3 years, despite 2 master degrees and thousands of hacks and methods to try to cope. To do lists, pomodoro, seven habits, how to read Dale Carnegie and not make friends, meditation, sport, ev-e-ry-f-ing I could do. But always '' just man up, try harder, stop whining'' Procrastination was hell, just hell. Two or three days without engaging in working, self loathing. Still refining titration, but I see things change. No more 3 day streaks, and slowly my flat gets organized. Those 3 months have been bittersweet. Why would they prescribe antidepressants without ever flinching, but would consider Ritalin would make me a drug addict ? And left me wandering for decades ? Chemicals are not everything, but they really help. And just so you know : I didn't self diagnosed myself and found a complacent Doctor, the psychiatrist evaluated me for weeks, using DSM and calibrated tests. It's hard not to become paranoid or to turn to Reiki and homeopathy, or to give up and become bitter, I wish you who face mental health problems to find the proper specialist and a proper balance. Well, this rant was me participating to the mental health awareness event. I've done my part and now, going to sleep, it's Europe, here, it is late. Thanks for reading
