Found my old game boy advance SP while cleaning up my room and it had fire red in… so I fired it up and the save point was right in front of moltres so I thought hey why not let’s catch ‘em for old times sake… and it’s a fricken shiny…
Yeah I used my master ball. Like yeah yeah suicune but I’ve caught him and mewtwo how many times… but a shiny MOLTRES???? Actually the first shiny outside of a red gyarados I’ve ever had. What a time to be alive lol

Afaik up until Ultra Moon the only shiny I've ever caught was a shiny magikarp. Knocked one out with a critical hit in Fire Red though.

First was a zubat in emerald. Once found a spoink (in my top 5 shiny) but it was in a randomized emulator I was testing (Defultt shiny odds)

Nope, after that encounter he's scripted to have a regular ralts. Only the encounter can be a shiny.
