My favorite is Aliens. But I love Alien, Alien 3 and Alien 4 as well. Prometheus and Covenant... not so much.

i feel bad for alien 3.. it was such a meddled with film.. poor David Fincher, first big studio gig and it was a corporate mess I like what he tried to do with it... but fox wouldn't be fox with out some back room buggery going on.

The special edition (Assembly cut) makes it better. If you haven't seen it, it's worth the time to watch it again.

Oh yea, that was a much better film over all than what they released to theaters. I do wish that they would have went with the William Gibson script over what we got.. but I will say that I think the script they did use was better suited to Fincher's style

Oh yes, the Gibson script is much better. All said, I still like Alien 3, and I am glad they made it. Can't say the same for the 2 prequels.
