May 25, 1977, Star Wars was released in the US. Being a kid in Australia, I didn't get to see it until probably early 1978. I do know that I was a huge fan as a kid, and have pretty much stayed a fan since then.
This movie was huge to me, and I can't wait to see where the franchise will go now.
