Meet Bast everyone!

I had to put my beloved boxer to sleep on the first of July. Everything has felt empty at my house, but with kids at 6 and 4, we knew that it’s not a great time for a puppy. So, we adopted from a nearby humane society! He was a stray and is the chillest dog I’ve ever met. We’ve had him for 3 days now and he hasn’t made a single sound. They put him at around 2, but if he is 4 or 5 he wouldn’t surprise me. If I had to guess, I’d say some mix of Burnese Mountain Dog and Golden Retriever, but I have no idea. Maybe Australian Shepherd?
We named him after the character in The Kingkiller Chronicles, and then learned that Bast is also the Egyptian god of cats. Oh well.
