Well hello there, you've seen me posting random kerbal space program images for a while, now I decided to do a mini tour on my current game. The KSP build I play is heavily modded, so a lot of the things featured here aren't part of vanilla kerbal space program. This is a munbase I built over several days by hauling modules to the mun and deploying them at a specific spot.
One of the first modules to be brought, this was supposed to refine kethane to refuel the crane module, however the current mining rover design is awful and it can't autopilot the 20km to the nearby kethane pocket without tumbling and crashing horribly. So far this plant is inactive.
The very first module by skycrane, this thing contains a small thorium reactor and heat dissipation. It can provide power to the whole base for a long while, and as a plus we sit right on top of a thorium deposit! Jebedaiah hates having to clean the reactor though, he glows in the dark for a month.
This module allows us to process samples brought by rovers and transmit them back to kerbal command for delicious science.
This module is another laboratory which provides a steady influx of !!science!! back to kerbal command. It also has a gamma spectometrer (used to detect fuel for reactors) and a wastewater processing unit.
A supply capsule sent with three more brave kerbonauts to work in the base.
This contraption was used to bring down via skycrane all the modules you see that don't have their own engines. Jebedaiah is the pilot, and he assembled most of the base alone over the course of several days and missions. It has enough fuel to safely deploy a module and make it back to orbit, where it grabs a new module and refuels itself with fuel hauled from kerbin. The plan is to eventually have fuel on-ground.
This greenhouse module provides food and air for the base (I use a life support mod that adds food, water and air requirements). It was the hardest module to bring down because of its size and orientation, it sits quite far from the rest of the base. Jeb hates peas.
A bird's eye view of the whole thing. The pipes and pylons are used to connect the separate modules which in turn act as a single whole entity in game, sharing resources and kerbals.
Sunrise in the munbase. That is all thank you!

And here I was proud that I finally figured out how to get into orbit. I ran out of fuel...poor Jeb is stuck up there..
