Pebbles are a lot less of an issue with skateboards if you get some proper rubber street wheels, rather than using plastic vert wheels that only work well on wood. They don't make that stupidly loud thunking clacking sound as well. They only come with the vert wheels because they're cheaper, get proper street ones.
