Is it just me or does baby speaker boy look like a crunched down version of Colbert?

I’m in D4 so sadly I can’t vote but my god I hope she wins. Not just because it’s HER specifically but because it does show a tide shift and that not everyone is a backwards ass rube. Too many people who’ve never lived here tend to lump us all in with the worst of the worst and that makes it so much harder for those of us who were raised right and give a shit about people and their quality of life because we are seen as one in the same. So she’s a sign of change.

I hope she wins and voters in the exit polls say it was tRumpys endorsement that made them vote Democratic

Well Kate Mckinnon will play her perfectly on SNL

I have a hope that the Republican attempts at gerrymandering are going to backfire spectacularly. They are taking safe Republican districts and narrowing the margins to throw votes at Democratic district. Things like this race show me that they might be creating two tossups instead of a safe Dem and safe Rep seat, losing Republican seats.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Don't lose perspective in hope, this district bathes in the Kool aid.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If she loses by less than ten points that’s still huge and a sign of things to come.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This is a +20% Red seat. The fact it's even in contention is a major milestone that should not be understated.
Unfortunately I can see a >2% loss being treated as a foregone conclusion that further leads people to becoming more jaded, believing that nothing ever changes.
This is a big shift that already shows how unpopular the current administration is right now.

Just admit why you hate Nashville. Where I live, in North Idaho, all the old timers and locals who were born here hate how this has turned into a golfers \ skiers \ boaters tourist destination. Housing literally quadrupled in price over the last 20 years while wages went from unionized timber mills and mining to low wage hospitality jobs. The tourists have ruined the lakes, hiking areas and life in general here.

"Transgender for everyone"..... Okay, that makes sense.....

Honestly Democrats taking over red states was not on my 2025 bingo card, but here we are.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Democrats taking over red states would be awesome.

Cool! I'm actually watching an interview with her right now!

Tennessee will vote against its own interests like it always does, let's be real.

Living in Tennessee, the commercials for these two are wild. Hers are all about the policies she wants to work on, and changes she'd like to make. His are all about how she is a radical terrorist looking to destroy our way of life.

Van Epps campaigned with Kid Rock. Who the fuck thinks Kid Rock could draw votes that weren’t already going Republican?

Targeting low-information non-voters who still respond to Bawitdaba

If you have Mike Johnson the pedo protectors support you know you're a terrible human bean.

Was funny to me that neither one of them mentioned his fucking name.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I hate pretty much everything she hates about the city, so I hope she wins.

3 months ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 2

I've been to Nashville twice, only for what she mentioned she hated... the most fun I had there was when I was not doing any of those things and going elsewhere in town and actually having fun.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

The touristy stuff is pretty shit. People could literally just walk two streets away from all that and hit the dive bars where almost every major band got their start, and food trucks with the best food you've ever had in your life, or some of the last existing arcades.

I feel like I'm shouting at the wind posting politics on Imgur. I hope she wins as well.

3 months ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

You are selling water to fish, yeah most people on imgur enjoy seeing calls of action/voting for left causes, but they are already doing that anyway.

3 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Not really. If it helps turn 1 person, then that helped. True story life turned on me, Imgur helped me see what the real problem was.
Im one person Imgur helped. Im hoping my post help someone as well.

Sure, but why look for people to convert in a church? You'd have way higher chance of reaching someone who isn't already on the left on a less left leaning site, or physically in your local community (guessing you are from Tennessee)

I have tried. I have also protested.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I scream similar messages into the IG void. There are still low information voters out there surprised by things we think are widely known. We'll need them in the midterms.

Theres defenitly a change happening in democratic politics. People are starting to see trough the bullshit. And are starting to rally behind politicians that are actually trying to improve their country

3 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 3

I've see no change in Dem policy... in fact, just trying to find out what Dem policy is causes migraines. The Democratic party is very much a party of individuals who only care about themselves: the 'traitors' who ended the Govt shutdown being just a recent example.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I don't know if it's that they're seeing through the bullshit, and more that they're angry the GOP is making life harder for them. The instant the GOP feeds them more comfort pills, they'll run right back. Right now, fear and hate aren't enough, they need some groceries, jobs, and cheap construction labor. They don't want to change their minds and wake up to the consequences of their votes.

Isn’t that part of Idaho in the “American Redoubt”, where the rednecks were gonna retreat when Hilary was gonna come for their guns?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

While I wish that were true I get the impression that about 1/2 the voters vote against the person/group they hate more. I’m not sure Dems are winning voters so much as Republicans are losing voters.

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I genuinely think there is a subset of ‘independents’ that literally just flip-flop each time and somehow think that makes sense.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Wow, everything wasn't fixed in one election cycle after voting back in the party that always seems to destroy everything. Guess Id better vote for the party that always destroys everything again.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So the "sudden" rise in younger demographics voting red were also the same demographics that voted for Biden in 2020. It was a ten point swing, which might sound like a lot but considering the vote split between the sexes is 11 points it's points to men a women being more or less equally likely to be Republican. The Dems after doing some self reflection and spending 20 mil figured out telling all young men to eat shit and die might be pushing young men towards a party that at least pretends to1/

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

To acknowledge men's issues. Like identity politics is nothing but another way to control the masses and sow descent among the proletariat2/2

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I don't remember any instances of Democrats telling young men to eat shit and die but I remember the dozens (hundreds?) of times Republicans told young women they were property and/or subhuman. And yet those young men were still okay voting for those people. That makes me think they were always leaning towards the party of misogyny. I don't think Dems could've done much more to court them unless they openly started hating on women and minorities too.

So in replying to a comment where I point out that the same men people are hating on voted for Biden some how those men were always secretly evil racists and sexist? Like really? The lefts response to media coverage of the male loneliness epidemic was overwhelming negative with comment sections full of vitriol targeted at men. But beyond that whenever men try and open up emotionally, especially regarding cases of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse they get made fun of for not being man 1/

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

enough. Like one of the most prominent examples is Jonny depps divorce where even after evidence came out about how abusive his partner was there are still people saying he deserves it. Like I was sexually abused from 3 until 11 and besides people congratulating me, when I went to court my attorney sat me down and told me the state would be per suing sexual abuse charges because it help my my mom and abuser by undermining the neglect case. Are some dude scum bags? Undeniably. But that doesn't 2/
