Tomorrow, Friday the 14th, the Senate will vote on a Republican spending bill to keep the government running in the short term. The problem is that it essentially gives the felon and the morally bankrupt billionaire even more power in the long term, cuts funding for the VA, teachers, and poor children, and ensures that the felon's tax cuts for billionaires become permanent.
Today, Democratic minority leader Chuck Schumer said he will vote for the bill. We have one night to convince every other Democratic senator to say "F*** that!" and vote against the bill. The good news is that, unlike the MAGA Republicans in Congress, Democrats listen and can change their minds, which is where you come in.
Using the link above, please take five minutes to call your senators and tell them to vote against this bill. Remind them that they were elected to fight, not to submit to MAGA Republicans and the felon. If enough people call and bombard the senators telling them to vote no, and they listen, then this bill will fail, and we win a hard-won victory.

The choice they are making is to NOT be the party that caused a shutdown. That carries a lot of serious election risks with it. The downside is that Repubs get the CR they want, but that's going to happen eventually anyway.

Put in your time to take the actions you can, then worry afterwards if others will do the same. I'm sick of all the defeatist "it doesn't matter" or "they won't listen". None of that makes your efforts any less, and you might be surprised.
