Star Wars episode VII possibly tied to the book

So I have linked the Star Wars Episode VII to the book by Timothy Zahn's "Star Wars -Heir to the Empire-". Reason being is because in the summary you can see it says "and luke Skywalker hears a voice from his past. A voice with a warning...beware the dark side. A recent Episode VII leak from International Business Times says ("However, according to the leak, Luke Skywalker will ultimately be the hero in the sci-fi film as it ends. "He saves the day." Unfortunately, his fate reportedly leaves him turning to the bad side. Movieweb claims he could turn into a villain in "Star Wars: Episode VIII" and "Star Wars: Episode IX." But since he has no children, then the movie would miss the father-son connection between Luke and Darth Vader as seen on the original "Star Wars" trilogy.) I think the voice in the summary is telling him to try and forget about the connection with him and his father but that connection will take him over in the end, and while it is right to try and connect with his father again..Luke could end up being turned to the dark side. Also multiple sources say that Luke has been gone for some time...maybe he was looking for his father all that time? And with Jacen solo being in this book...if what I think happens...happens then if he builds a strong relationship with his uncle Luke skywalker in Star Wars episode VIII then he will turn into the merciless Darth Caedus with the help of The sith lord Lumiya.

Basing the new movies off Timothy Zahn's series would restore faith in the Starwars Franchise

Anyone who has read these is hoping for the Thrawn trilogy to be the plot line for the next movies.

Thrawn is one of the best expanded universe characters. I would also like to see some of Rogue Squadron or Wraith Squadron...

But, Luke does have children. The EU is considered canon.

It's not any more, Lucasarts threw out the EU with the Clone Wars and Disney has made official announcements that none of it will be used.

I think that it is no longer considered canon with the new movies coming out.

Then how does Jacen Solo exist?

I didn't say he didn't exist. I said that what was once canon is no longer canon.

You can't retcon something that is official canon. Well, I say can't, this is the Star Wars saga we're talking about here. Still.
