Am I wrong or does the "despite" make no sense in that sentence?

I mean, fine. Go ahead and ban shit that ain't real in the first place; who cares.

So they're going to turn their airports into parking lots? Cause that means no flights into or out of that state...

The phrase "despite a lack of pushback from the scientific community" means scientists are not pushing back on a proposed law to ban chemtrails, but the legislature is going to pass the law anyway. What?

There's a reason our states motto is "Thank God for Alabama/Mississippi"

I fuckin hate it here

Another comment states "The bill being proposed prohibits chemically altering weather. Like how they are seeding clouds in Dubai to produce rain in the desert." There's actually a valid use for the thing that they're banning so the scientific community probably should push back. But the only thing that would accomplish reinforcing the conspiracy theorists's beliefs.

A S.C. Senate subcommittee advanced proposed legislation to ban the airborne release of chemicals into the atmosphere, setting the table for a fuller Senate debate on the alleged existence of a shadowy government plot to engineer weather patterns via “chemtrails.”

Government solving a problem that doesn't exist.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The line is intentionally misleading. The bill being proposed prohibits chemically altering weather. Like how they are seeding clouds in Dubai to produce rain in the desert.

Nobody wants to listen to your stupid accurate facts.

How about emitting CO2 to warm the planet and alter the weather?

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That would be awesome to use their stupid bill to help fix climate change :)

3 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

How can you be that fucking retarded and have a job that requires qualifications?

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

They are politicians. The only job qualification they have is the ability to tell outrageous lies with a straight face.

Do you at least not have to finish primary school or elementary school to you guys? Or do you just not have an education system anymore. How can you have gone to school and still think this shit.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sigh, I'm guessing you're not familiar with our "education" system. We graduate people from high school who are functionally illiterate, in English. Don't even get me started on homeschooling.

Sooooooo....no Jet flights in,out or over South Carolina. Pretty much shuts down air travel in or out of the state.

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

Or aerial fertilizers/pesticides...so no crops.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

As a South Carolina resident I support the ban for this reason.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

yeah I'm sure dirty myrtle and Chucktown will love it, definitely gonna help with at ever so important tourist industry

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

You're thinking of "contrails", which exist, as opposed to "chemtrails", which don't.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah but the idiots think the contrail are chemicals?

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

What they think doesn't matter. What does is the wording of the legislation. You can ban unicorns and it will have no effect unless the the wording of the law actually describes a horse.
