Great. Go arrest whoever owns Waymo and put them on the streets.
LariCheltsy
This is when we should have collectively went into the streets, flipped and burned the autonomous monsters. We won't but we should have.
erinaceus

But there's no danger to having fully automated cars! The people making money from them told me so!

In an ideal world *all* cars would be self driving.
dieselpunk
Then *all* cars would be fucking stupid and do brainless shit like this, including ambulances and cop cars and fire trucks. Great.
RetrogradeLlama
No. No, they wouldn't.
mksu
Self-driving with no passenger to override and self-driving with a passenger to override are two different things. We shouldn't be forced to alpha test their dangerous and unfinished products, but well-developed self-driving cars with a passenger who can override them probably would result in fewer accidents, injuries, and death.
dataengineer
Well you see, if it was all self driving, they'd actually be able to coordinate in extremely efficient manners. There's a great CGP Grey about this.
