Prawn moqueca is amazing! It's a signature dish of the Bahia region of NE Brazil. My favorite Brazilian food!

A lot of these types of videos are fake but I hope this is real.

Wish we could do this shit in America, like the guy who just compliments people as he's walking about. If you did this to a complete stranger in Chicago, they would just grab the money and run.

I just spent (including tip) $70 taking my mom to lunch at a CASUAL restaurant. $100 to have a new set of friends, a home cooked authentic meal, and a new recipe seems a better deal. I may have to find a metro area with tons of diversity!

I've made this a few times (not authentic brazilian, but .. )

How many people does it take to make that stew? A Brazilian.

This is what Anthony Bourdain would have wanted

A hearty looking meal.

Lol, he walks up to a cannibal...

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

That's a joke BTW, be funny if.

Makes me think of like, savory ceviche or something. Lol

Is that a tin lined copper pot?

That is the kitchen of someone who takes their food seriously. There are a lot of tools but the arrangement is clearly highly usable.

look how clean the hob is though, I bet they have a system that works for them

Me: Do you like peanut butter & jelly?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Picked the cooks. You see the layout in that kitchen? They have the things to do the thing.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow! That looks delicious. They need their own cooking show.

Hm. in my world of friends, family and colleagues nearly everyone does this kind of cooking.

Yeah, Brazil has amazing food. Belo Horizonte has a large chunk of the best restaurants in the world and it is pretty inexpensive given the USD right now

I mean, for them (and us Portuguese) it would be like making a cooking show about normal week night food. It's something we don't see that special. But in fact it is special, both countries have a wonderful underrated cuisine.

I’d totally do this. He didn’t say it had to be good. I’m poor af. I cook old-fashioned farmer meals from scratch. It’s simple. There’s no shrimp or fancy expensive ingredients. My per plate costs are under $3 a serving usually. The plates are chipped and older than the OP of the video. But he wouldn’t walk away hungry.
Then I’d use the money to buy more food. £100 is a windfall!

Oh 'cook' for me, ok. I thought we were going into that NSFW territory

I think that's what the first person thought too

This is such a fun idea that I wish I could do but I'm about 90% sure I could be diagnosed with arfid and I don't trust most of my safe foods to be prepared by other people, especially those I don't know. But I would cook for someone if they asked me to.

Everyone knows an amazing recipe, ok but not everyone, also who has the ingredients at that time, likely spaghetti or something quick, cheap, and plentiful. I can make an amazing linguine that I had to learn the recipe from a friend. No one ever made it online I guess.

I feel that, a lot of textures and smells will make me throw up for no reason (sometimes even steak!). Still, I will try anything once, and I'm super appreciative of all the strange foods served to me, I've gotten to try. The pain was worth it, the gestures deeply appreciated even if much of it will not get a second try. Just uh, have a safety bucket and a cheap backup pizza ready for me guys.

So this is the grain we're going to use, it is broken down and processed into squares and also coated with cane sugar and cinnamon....I'm going to add roughly two cups into this bowl here.... looking really good....okay....and now I'm going to add fresh chilled whole milk to the bowl...this is a really important step, you want to add just enough milk to see the grain rise up and float on top of the milk.... And we're done we'll serve with a spoon very simple and elegant...bon appetit!

As long as you're shaking the basket half way through.

For £200, maybe...

I'd cook for them. Hope you like a grilled cheese omelet sandwich. It'd basically be just stoner food.

1 year ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

That sounds good. Not $100 good but I'd definitely pay for it.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

We'd spend the other 80 on weed. And just smoke and talk

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You don't have the 100. You get that, right?! It's "my" 100. Yet you claimed it was "yours". It's MY 100. Get. That?!

I’ll never get used to a washing machine in a kitchen.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

They'll probably never get used to 12,000 homes going poof in a fire in a few days. Open your mind my friend.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Well that was dark.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While you have a point, you make it sound like it's only Americans who don't have washing machines in a kitchen but I would bet it's more alongside only brits having them there andrest of the world looking you weirdly.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I think it is the other way around: It is common practice in most countries around the globe, and only the US is confused. Like so often :P

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Very common in apartments here in Germany & many other European countries. In an apartment, it's either in the kitchen or in the bathroom, wherever fits. 🤷‍♀️

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

True, here in the Netherlands as well. And in Portugal it's common to have a closed balcony where people can keep the washing machine, but a kitchen or a bathroom is also a common room to keep it.
