Explanation: Stormcast Eternals are Sigmar's immortal warriors clad in Sigmarite armor - his "vengeance made manifest" - and his final gambit against the forces of Chaos. This immense army of magical beings was created by Grungni, his Six Smiths and Sigmar during five centuries of intense forging, Sigmar then released them upon Mortal Realms. Their sole purpose is to liberate the realms from the ruinous clutches of Chaos and finally destroy the rulers of damnation.
Fun Fact: Regardless of their Stormhost of origin, it is not unheard of to find a Stormcast engaged in charitable work. Donations in the form of Aqua Ghyranis, holy relics, arcane artefacts, or even volunteer work have been delivered onto many a Temple of Sigmar by the Eternals. Eternals have been known to take the time to advise Freeguild officers, help citizenry with everyday tasks, and even put on public displays to increase morale.

Stormcast eternals. Because AOS isn't mad about girls in golden armor.

That is one ugly helmet though.

Im curious, if people who like AOS and especially the Stormcast - Was that the first time you came into the Warhammer Fantasy hobby/lore ?
Cus iv disliked it since it came. Like alot of oldhammer fans^^
The realms/gates/Stormcast..ugh its so disconnected, death dosent rly matter.
The amazeing core of oldhammer was grounded and gritty. Average human joe with a few weeks of pike training thrown into a group of others like him and pitted against towering orks, chaos warriors etc.

alot of cool minis in the line tho. But , sad everything has gone monopose

I'm still sad GW killed Roll Models, it was amusing while it lasted though

I am surprised no one has gathered them all and put them in order. I can find them, but it is seemingly in a random order and piecemeal, at best. I might, one day, take the time to gather and organize all that I can find.
Vebrandsson
It's a bit of a hassle but you can find them all in order on the wayback machine https://web.archive.org/web/20230110143623/https://www.warhammer-community.com/roll-models/

In fairness to that guy panicking in the first comic, Fantasy originally did end with a complete chaos victory (because GW was rigging their own tournaments) to give us Age of Sigmar.

I am new to Warhammer compared to most, but I remember hearing something along the lines of the orcs on the path to winning and GW just wanted Chaos to win so bad, but the orcs just kept winning. It is funny, because in 40k, the orks and tyranids seem the two most likely factions to actually win, even compared to Chaos in 40k
RoombaTheAssaultVacuum
In original fantasy the good side kept winning and GW often pushes the narrative of the tournament scene into the stories, but GW wanted chaos to win so they could abort the Fantasy and roll everything into age of sigmar. Going as far as players fighting three times the amount of points worth of chaos and the like, GW pulled out every stop to make chaos win and even they said they had just given up.

That is also a pretty good metaphor for classic Warhammer, at least from my perspective. To be clear, I play a few games, but I am also entirely a book-based fan. When I read the Gotrek & Felix novels or the various other stories, it is largely normal people holding their own against the forces of Chaos (normal may not be a fair word, as Gotrek not only has a super powerful magical axe but is basically a one dwarf army and felix has a semi-sentient sword, but still).
I like all of Warhammer->

but definitely feel that classic Warhammer fantasy has a bit more of a grim feeling to it than AoS, at least where AoS is right now.
