The Supreme Court declares Trump's import tariffs illegal, potentially sending $175 billion back to corporations. The supreme justices say he overstepped his authority using a 1977 law.
Accountants at the University of Pennsylvania, commissioned by Reuters calculated that the US may have to refund $175 billion in now deemed illegal tariffs.

The court didn't say what should be done with the money already collected, so I'm sure they'll come up with some grift to keep it themselves.

Even if they do, most (if not all) already billed it to their customers.
So in the end, the citizens paid for it and they will never get their money back anyway.
