The same reason people are "hung up on" "fake internet trophies" all over the internet. Though, in the video game world, they're typically called "achievements", except on playstation, where they are also called "trophies". Not to mention, even "real" trophies can simply just be bought and have whatever put on them, so why are people so hung up about those???
