I feel like we can slowly reopen rather than pick one or the other. I think leaving it to the states is the perfect solution.

A lot of the states are still seeing an increase in cases and deaths. It's not like it will improve that by opening
Youre not wrong but there is reasonable conversation to be had about balancing economic devastation to lives & reasonable pandemic reaction
Not disagreeing there. Some zones might be fine to do it in but shouldn't be state-wide as a lot seem to want. I don't have an easy answer
The easy answer lies in delegation. Allow smaller areas to decide for their specific region. In my state each county is deciding based on
guidance from the state level but each area gets to decide for itself based on the needs of it's area.
