Shy cat Margaret checking out her new toy

Margaret was pretty shut down when she first arrived at the shelter, but she’s come out of her shell. She’s been playing with her toys a lot- little fuzzy mice and ball toys- so I decided to give her this motion toy. It’s pretty normal for cats to be a little weirder out by these at first. I think it’s interesting that she doesn’t seem to be nervous about the moving part, but is focused on the actual base of the toy.
