The Dobbs decision ruled that women, unlike men, only get full constitutional rights if the local state legislature says that they can. Men don't need such approvals. I really wish they were required to provide 5 exceptions as baseline examples. Their current exception is basically: guess the number I’m thinking of down to the 15th decimal point. And you can only guess once.

It should be pointed out that more women died in childbirth in 2021 than in the preceding 2 years, it in fact appears that being pregnant is actually a life threatening condition in the US, and getting more dangerous as the Republicans take further steps to prevent abortions. The maternal mortality rate in the US was 32.9 per 100,000 in 2021, the same statistic in Australia for the same year is 5.8 per 100,000! Got to ask the question right? Why?

And bear in mind that our (I am Australian) perinatal maternal mortality rate is not best of breed (if you'll pardon the expression). Our rate is about 6 per 100,000. The Netherlands is about 2 per 100,000.
