This used to be my jam as a small child back when there used to be more educational programming on TV. I never really see it come up in nostalgia posts or posts about nature documentaries though, so I don't know if it just wasn't very well known or if it was just kind of forgotten.

Recently I found a bunch of episodes on some random Youtube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL306tQWTn9VSnSTp7tcxvdMm0gVAGKAL_ ) so I just thought I'd share. They're definitely not going to hold up against the likes of Planet Earth and Blue Planet, but they still were a formative experience in my childhood.

The fact that Marty and Norm Abram are always left out of the Roger's Irwin and Ross power team always saddens me

As a kid I love Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom too. I miss educational shows, reality tv effed it all up

I loved that too, and when I was a little older I really liked Wild Discovery. Then Deadliest Catch happened and everything changed.
