The video game consoles we all grew up with can now be found in museums.

Still got my Dreamcast, only if I could find a non-scratch working power stone copy which was my favorite game as a kid

Does the organization of the display bug anyone else?

I only know one of these from my uncle. Maybe it's good that they are preserved.

The Sega Master System. It was gold back in the day.

We had a few others in my house when I was born but that was first one purchased after and it was special to me.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck I'm old, I've owned or family has owned every one of those consoles at one point...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I guess you can put me in a museum too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does it mean men with whips will soon come in and demand my collection belongs in a museum?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I need to take a good pic when I get home of my set up, relevant to this response

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Strong Museum of Play?

Computer Museum of Palo Alto California

This was my first thought too. Had to go back and look at my pics. This was the video game display @ strong:

Video Game Museum in Frisco TX. Been there. Its worth a go if you find yourself there.

I’ve never used any of these, but they look darn familiar

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

How young are you?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m 24.5, I just only ever used PS1.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also can be found at my parents house.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My entire youth in one photo.

Ah the classics! Snes, Atari, gun

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I don’t see the GameCube in there! Ha! I’m not old!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That’s in the addendum section

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

:(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There were no video game consoles when I grew up.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cartman spoke of this prophesy

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is the gold system next to the Atari Jaguar?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bandai / Apple PIP PIN

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah ok I see thanks

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The 64 controller is plugged into the player four slot and it bothers me.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Where's the Jaguar?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bottom row 2nd from the right. (missing the optional CD-ROM toilet seat attachment)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

oops 3rd from right? looks like an x-box is lurking in the shadow there,

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah yes, my favourite games console, gun.

Every game's a first person shooter

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Russian game

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol, you got me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It was made by Murder INC for the ghetto version of duck hunt. Instead of shooting ducks you shot pigs & snakes, it's an odd training device

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Nah, it's called "Dick Hunt" and you shoot neighbours.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Probably an accessories addon for an older console. Back in the 70s the light guns used looked more similar to real guns than today

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Back when kids were pointing them at cops and getting shot

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, wtf?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I loved playing that shit. Lol

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was what you got for pre ordering the special addition duck hunt. TV's sold separately.

Duck Hunt 2, Open Season DLC

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe a controller? I know the Famicom gun was realistic but it was in Japan.

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

It's the konami light gun I think.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its the American console

8 years ago | Likes 244 Dislikes 3

Goddamn right

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I never had any games other than that multi game cart it came with.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Forget to turn it off and waste six AA batteries!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

As an owner of many flywheel Nerf blasters, I see your 6 AAs and raise you 8 C or D batteries. Batteries heavier than the blaster.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So many long hours playing Metal Combat.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My dad was addicted to that game. I was like 6 or 7 when it came out and would watch him play for hours, pretending to navigate or something

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Such a good game. Had a really cool story, too. It heavily inspired my sci-fi roleplaying and stories for years.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are not in time line order! This bothers me more then it should

8 years ago | Likes 150 Dislikes 5

They're not even arranged by company. Fail. I'll curate that exhibit for their failure asses.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pure chaos.. at first I thought they grouped by make but nope

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, one of them OCD problems... I suffer from that too...

Bottom row, second from the left, what is that?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the white one? the sega dreamcast, a marvelous gem that was doing second screen before even the gamecube existed

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

i loved the games for dreamcast but damn those controllers were clunky

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then the PS2 came along with its 'games' and ruined everything!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dreamcast had good games too, like sonic adventure, soldier of fortune, house of the dead, and it was the first to have built in online

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

:D Joking. It's ok, I'm on your side; I loved my Dreamcast
