Upvote this post so it appears on google images when you search "things that don't fucking work"

FP Edit: well this is embarassing
me to me: http://imgur.com/ygmGQF6.gif

its need a lot of text reference only sites like reddit can achieve it. Imgur is just a image holding website with a ignorant community. ;)

It can work. Try searching for "timmy phommasouvanh"

The senate one actually worked as well

You just didn't get enough upvotes

I tried looking up pictures of "the senate" and didn't find a single picture of Palpatine.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I did find him, linking to "know your meme". It's down on the 6th row though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

mind = blown.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've seen it work on reddit, not sure about imgur though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually does lol (lame example but when my Ed Elric cosplay made front page it also made top row google search) YEAH I GOOGLED IT

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It works, but only if you actively surf imgur, as google will prioritize results based on language, location and sites visited...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People who don't surf imgur regularly won't see this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

for those who are lazy...

Tried it in duckduckgo and it didn't show up. I did find http://loscuatroojos.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/silly-dog.jpg though.

He provided the image for the lazy, if you think it's false you can take 10 seconds to check it yourself

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Shhh, he is too lazy to do that!

@ambassadorspock

he already posted that gif in his FP edit... congratulations, you played yourself

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not 9 hours ago OP didn't. 9 hours ago when I made my comment.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No need to keep upvoting

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I tried searching those images upvoted under this premise a while ago, none of it works and imgur is rarely mentioned in results.

8 years ago | Likes 259 Dislikes 3

I've found several images on imgur by googling them. Your keyword game is weak.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

People on reddit once got a picture of a potato for "Gaming Console".

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Imgur is frequently there when I search for reference character art. Quite a few results end up being Imgur.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Scientology one worked for cult.

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 12

It used to be there, but isn't anymore.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Google "Cute Yellow Caterpillar"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Many times i have searched for something and the top result has been an imgur post...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They used to, I used to go back and check. I think Google changed the filtering system.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They end up high on Google searches for a while, but then quickly fade out. I'd be surprised if upvoting made much difference, though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Right now, Google images gives exactly this page as 1st with "things that don't fucking work", but I doubt it'll last for very long.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Google "Third Tuesday of the month".

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

That doesn't count

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fine. Google "sarah plz"

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Didn't work. And I gotta say. I don't think that's been one of these types of posts anyways.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1) The thing is is that that is a imgur thing so of course one of the first 5 pages would have to be an imgur site. Something like is

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2) ISIS isn't because everyone is talking about it, not just imgurians.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First thing is reddits OutOfTheLoop sub

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

True, but there are plenty of Imgur results and that sub is directly talking about the imgur post. Also if you switch to images it's there.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I know, its just kind of ironic. I'm sure the only reason its the first link is becuz of ppl that didn't understand the reference.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it depends how popular the thing they're trying to overcome is. This post may hit google but 'isis' for example is way to commonly searched

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pictures of the god are the first result for that when I search anyway.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pinterest. Why are so many image search results from Pinterest?

They do, if you have talent, skill, and put the necessary time and money into it.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

And use the same materials. Like fondant.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This especially annoys me because Pinterest reduces the resolution of everything uploaded to it. Everything looks so grainy.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

most of the time the links don't even fucking work, because it prompts you to sign up to pinterest.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

And you are required to sign up just to browse

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Greasemonkey scripts go a long way,not that i go on pinterest often but still

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But they do? Hasn't there been a bunch of confirmed times reddit has done that?

8 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 5

The problem is that most people don't realize the post has to begin with the words to appear in Google's algorithm correctly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't that why people make the post the way they do? To ensure it's read in the algorithm correctly?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A) Reddit posts get a lot more votes and B) Reddit is favoured in the searches (as I understand it) because it's more mainstream.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Googled customized my search results based on my history of browsing imgur so I think these posts work!"

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Hold on awakening the lumbering sack of shit that is IE to test this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Those Reddit posts pulled way more upvotes than ours did

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

Does reddit really get that much more traffic than imgur? considering they're kind of linked at the hip?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh yes, imgur started as just their hosting image site, a lot still see it like that and they see a lot of what we post but not vise versa

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

It's not about the amount of upvotes, it's irrelevant in Google's algorithm.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Upvotes bring more traffic to the image. Even if upvotes are directly considered they are necessary to bring traffic.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Upvotes as a way of visualizing web traffic though more upvotes usually means more traffic

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You think google counts imgur points? Pcitures are ranked according to how often they're viewed

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying they count points, im saying that points can be a visual representation of traffic and if something's on the FP it gets seen

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is what google bases their stuff on

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

they get seen only by the relatively small imgur users, won't affect google ranking

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Points aren't accurate though cause of how many people will view something without leaving any points, positive or negative.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But if something has 2500 points positive or negative at least that many people saw it, most likely more

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but with how many people don't vote, 2500 couod be gotten from a post that has 15,000 views.
