You can make your aquarium a tower if you want they connect through floors

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

gonna play dis now

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What is this, The Swims?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That looks like StarCitizen underwater.... I fear seamonsters are a thing, though?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

nah just reefbacks. that is the largest thing youll encounter and they are pretty much whales.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm still waiting for a moonpool type docking system for the Cyclops, just imagine a drydock

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There is kind of one on the other island, if you don't mind the jerk neighbors

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I just started up this game again after 2 years or so. It's so great!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm kinda disappointed that they hadn't working in some sort of Cyclops docking mechanism to allow a dry transition between it and your base

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would love to play this game - Survival/Builders are my favourite kind of game. The bathophobe/thalassophobe in me says "Hell no!"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Makes prettiest base in world. Still can’t shake crushing sense of loneliness and isolation.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

get a cuttlefish. there problem solved

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*Cuddlefish

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anyone notice the name of the seamoth is Scooty Puff Jr from FUTURAMA?!?!?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I named mine Rick, and I talk to it like I'm Morty. "Rick, I don't think this a good idea."

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

All I can think of right now. v

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

But where are the 20 shelves filled with plant matter no one needs?

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

realistically you only need only one bed for growing food, one for resources (bloodoil n such) and one for cyclops.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

thats what you think

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

use a trash can

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I like your prawn name.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Subnautica on the front page?!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

im just as surprised as you

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I always stick tons of storage in the sub and use it as a mobile base. Stationary bases are only for recharging cells and batteries.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh Look, it's Sally, Pepper and Sub-Maria

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Nope it's the Salamander, Peperus maximus, Super-Marie

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Top of the Mornin to ya TheLadyKoi!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never thought to put a specimen containment below a floor to have a clear floor. Swiggity swooty renovation time.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah it looks so good

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it hard to get the prawn up there?

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

[spoiler]

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Worst part is there's a ghost leviathan that lives just next to the floater island.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, it has pretty good jump jets (upgradable, iirc) and a grappling hook that helps you move around.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yeah, don't try go anywhere significant without a grapple hook and upgraded jet.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It helps to have the cyclops and the jet upgrade.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well without WiFi it's hard to get the prawn anywhere

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The kitty poster in the bedroom is a nice touch

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you're looking for me, you'd better check under the sea, 'cause that is where you'll find me. Underneath the...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The best base location I've seen so far is someone who built inside the reactor room on the aurora

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

That would be the least relaxing place to live I could imagine.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sounds like a hoot and a half to get in and out. Nearly every resource has reapers between you and it.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

easy fix. stasis rifle. and a knife. bam goodbye reaper.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

reapers can be knifed to death?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah. It bleeds. It can be killed.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

obviously since there is a reaper right outside the aurora

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh holy crap subnautica has come a really long way!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

it launched a few weeks ago

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They've pretty much fixed all the bugs, completed the plot arc, and it's epic awesome fun now.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sweet! It was kinda mundane last time I tried it. Did they get around to adding mp? Do you want to cheat on my gf together?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry @GasBandit she was looking over my shoulder.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Heh, well, I mean... I'm flattered and all but, not without dinner and a show.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right. Right. Later, then.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No MP, but IMO it doesn't need it. The storyline really does a good job of imparting urgency so you aren't just dicking around all the time.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every time I've tried something like this, the waves appear inside the rooms.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

fortify!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, like the surface of the water acts as if there isn't any structure there

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nothing quite as disconcerting as finding a peeper has taken up residence around the outside of my aquarium

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

EVERY TIME

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just finished the game. Really fun though I wish they had done a few things different.

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

How many hours on survival?

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I've got 65 total but that includes me playing when it was early access. Once the game released I completed survival in about 28 hrs.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

20 for me.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Whats it called? Been looking for a new game to play.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Subnuatica

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Subnautica

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Like what? I just wish they made the game harder. Once you get to a certain point, there's no risk anymore. And hardcore mode is a bad fix.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

For one I wish there were more scripted scenes and events. Like the reactor explosion and the sunbeam coming in.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Was the Sunbeam coming in removed from the release version? It existed pre-release. Also if the base gets large leviathans come to attack.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The sunbeam is in the full release yes. Leviathans attack the base? Really? I had a big base but never got attacked.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ik the ship is in, I meant the sequence of it coming down & being shot. Your 1st comment about wanting an event for it prompted me to ask

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Leviathans attacking your base would be cool. Or a volcanic eruption. Everything felt kind of static. Other than finding new locations

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

or getting attacked by a leviathan there aren't any "omg" moments.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I was constantly paranoid about my base getting attacked, but it never happened. That was a let down.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gorgeous. Still in the early bit trying to get my seamoth built.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the parking space for the cyclops is a nice touch.

8 years ago | Likes 406 Dislikes 0

but how do you dock that prawn?

8 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

Ninja rope arm.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same way you dock the seamoth, enter from underneath and it'll bring you up automatically

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

yes but as far as i remember the water is quite deep under the island. deeper than i thought the prawns boost could handle even with upgrade

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

He probably uses boosts up to those ledges and from there he boosts up to the moonpool. Atleast that's what I would do

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Load into Cyclops, transfer to moonpool

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Grappling Hook

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Amen. That thing is useless without the hook.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Good job man, great location to build if you dont mind waking up with a Reaper licking its lips

8 years ago | Likes 130 Dislikes 4

Gorram reapers.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was about to ask about Reaper problems, there's one over there who has been a terror every time I've tried to build.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

My thoughts exactly!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Reaper's don't spawn at that height or area. Only in the dunes, around the aurora, and mountains. not in the grand reef or floating islands

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I bought it early access years ago and “beat” the game yesterday. I’ve never seen a reaper there.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

#humblebrag

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He just wants to be friends!

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

You sound like a girl I knew who thought endermen were cute and "just wanted to be your friend"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can feed them peepers now.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There reapers in the sparse reef now? used to be a safe area.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

The OTHER island (a.k.a Mountain/Gun/QuarantineEnforcementPlatform Island) has reapers around it, not this one.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I can tentatively confirm. I've only been playing for about 5 hours, but I haven't seen a leviathan there on my creative save.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ah, yes, "reapers"

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

The council has dismissed that claim.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I'm replaying ME1 now.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Bahahahaha!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or not being able to dock ur prawn suit ever again

8 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

Apparently you can attach floaters to the prawn suit, so couldn’t he place a pad below the prawn dock and attach floaters to deliver it

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Yeah, sounds like a lot to go through, a more *cough* logical solution would be stacking platforms or something from the sea bed

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

So use more resources than necessary instead of grabbing the floaters that naturally appear down there? To each there own I guess.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Permanent access to steps that needs minimal farming to build as opposed to carrying stuff all the time. Yep you do you.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Or bringing it from the seabed to a platform under the moonpool with the cyclops

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This is a good game? What's the premise behind it?

8 years ago | Likes 271 Dislikes 6

Premise: You're in a ship, OH SHIT you're underwater, EVERYTHING WANTS TO KILL YOU, save the planet, BIG GUN, leave behind purified piss.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Fantastic game. I bought this for my brother while it was in beta, then bought it for myself. I can't stop playing.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

You crash land in the ocean of an alien planet, gotta figure out why your ship crashed and if anyone else survived

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes. Stay alive and get away.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bought the game yesterday I’ve played 7 hours straight for two days

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I havent played it but i have seen a full lets play of it, and it seems pretty damn amazing

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Becomes a community for artists and scientists to shake the shackles of government and create anything, turn into genetic freaks

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

So... no gods or kings?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Only men

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's minecraft but prettier and in the water.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

and with plot

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

every open world survival game with construction elements is automatically minecraft

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

p. much

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You crash into a water planet with your spaceship and then you gotta build a base. Also you can explore the horror-game-like ocean depths.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's really cool, I'd definetly recommend it if you don't already have 200 other sandbox survival games, and it's entire terrain is hand

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

made, the ressources placed by the devs in most places, with an incredible attention to detail and deviation, and it still gets updated.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a wonderful game in the literal sense of the word.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I curious what the figurative sense of the word is.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Or I guess you're saying it's a game full of wonder?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

YES! perhaps "original" sense would have made more sense. Originally.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FYI they fired the sound designer for making an "attack helicopter" joke and expressing his views on immigration

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Good.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

And the sound design was arguably one of the best parts of the game, so kiss future development of it goodbye

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Crikey! That there is a reaper leviathan, one bite and I could die! ...I'm gonna scan it.

8 years ago | Likes 155 Dislikes 0

That... that sounds like me. "Wow, just escaped certain death from a leviathon. Let me repair my sub... Ohhh that's a biggun..." >

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

*gets out scanner* "Now where did i" *gets eaten by ghost leviathon*

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That there is a sea dragon leviathan, it can breathe fire underwater, one wrong step and I'm toast! ...I'm gonna ride it.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I had fun grappling to it and punching it until it swam through the wall

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I had to refund due to performance issues on my laptop but I did like what I saw (a year ago).

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah unfortunately the worst part about the game is the performance. I have to run it in lower resolution in order to get smooth frames.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still an amazing game. I know all the spoilery bits from Markiplier, but I haven't actually beaten the game myself yet. I hate the ocean

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

obviously it aint running on a laptop

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Well I mean it could. It ran almost okay on my 5 year old non-gaming laptop.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It runs pretty well on my also nearly 5 year old shitty laptop! I love it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice, maybe it'd run better now if it has been optimized but probably won't pick it up again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a survival game but in the ocean and trust me, if you are as afraid of the ocean as I am, it will freak you out... in a good way! 10/10

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Like the water levels in Half Life 1?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty much.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Terrified of the ocean so anytime I get pulled out of my seamoth by a warper, I quit for a few days. I’m never getting off this planet.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you crash on an ocean planet and slowly try to survive and figure out what happened and try to get back home, without spoilers

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Figure out how to survive, find out who made the ship crash and scream at leviathans

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

I've only seen their shadows and I'm terrified of them.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Scan* the leviathans

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

why not both

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Decent game, shit devs.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 17

you should've explained that the devs fired their sound guy over some tweets because of a ridiculous SJW shitstorm. So yeah, I agree

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Underwater survival mystery. It was fully released recently. Needs multiplayer though. huge map

8 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 10

On the steam forums there is a thread stating there will and i quote "*NEVER*" be multiplayer.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

There was supposedly approval for a mod to be developed for it by someone else. For a 25 dollar game I think it's fantastic

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I read somewhere it was originally meant to be a co-op which I thought no would be perfect

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A little hint to that is when you first build the Cyclops, it states that it was originally designed to be manned by a team of three

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

no. no multiplayer. not every singleplayer game needs multiplayer. The whole point of this game is to make you feel alone. 1/?-spoiler

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(SPOILER) Like the time you almost get rescued then the ship gets shot

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Ik. I meant for creative mode

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes to multiplayer, but still having only one seat in the rocket

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

I enjoy the single-player only. Detracts from the atmosphere of surviving alone when there's another person.

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

Agreed, while a lot of games are great with a friend, sometimes things need to be appreciated for the pure feeling of singularity.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Which is the exact reason they didn't add multiplayer. It is a shame that there aren't any other survivors, though, even if they were (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

(2/2) scripted to die through the storyline.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Really? The map feels tiny

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

R u kidding? It is several square kilometers wide without taking into account the depth of different regions and the numerous cave systems.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And don't forget the fucking leviathans.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's about 3km wide, from the edge of the Deep Grand Reef to the edge of the Bulb Zone, and from the Aurora to the edge of the Dunes. (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't forget about underwater haha. Although it's mostly one track once you reach the Lost River, there's so much to explore.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The map is "huge" when you consider that it also goes down quite a lot. by square miles, small, by square volume, huge.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

A yes square volume. Of course.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

do you mean cube miles?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Person who enjoys big maps here. I find it small. Horrifying, but small.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Worry not, rumor has it they're working on an expansion that happens entirely underneath an arctic ice sheet. No light, ever.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The superior unit of measurement, the square volume.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of the abundant early access survival building games. Arguably one of the very few that are actually good, though.

8 years ago | Likes 304 Dislikes 7

.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Love this game, very addicting and fun to play!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One of the few examples of what Early Access should be.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And one where the devs actually finished it, polished it, and care about the community.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

It's actually getting it's first DLC now

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Source?!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More of an expansion than just DLC. Sometime end of year. Talks of an Arctic biome. Lots of chatter on on the official forums.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

end of year? 10 MONTHS?!?!?!?!?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Clearly you've never heard of the blockbuster 'No Man's Sky'! I'm sure it will be amazing once it's finished.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, they actually keep working on it, so maybe if they ever finish it then it will be a good game.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Subnautica is good, but ever heard of Factorio?

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Oh yeah. The two of the best games I own! Video game cocaine and beautiful ocean horror.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh man. I sank 14 hours into that game in the first 2 days and had to stop.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dot

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Factorio is digital cocaine man...

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*Cracktorio

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When I close my eyes I see conveyer belts

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Man i am saving up for that game, friend of mind is playing it and i cant wait to get it too.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Multiplayer for Factorio is amazing.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

NO! DON'T DO IT! I just clocked about 30 hours into that evil abomination this weekend.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

The Factory Grows

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

30? Fucking casual.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I was quite intently supposed to be doing something completely different.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It’s out of early access now.

8 years ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 0

Even better. Then it reinforces my statement of it being a good game. Quite rare for games of this genre to ever get a full release.

8 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

Supposedly said there would be a sequel already but now there's a bunch of drama ever since they fired the sound designer.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What game is this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Subnautica.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rust and Ark also hit full release.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Rust may have, but Ark is so far from a full game that it hurts. They just said "fuck everyone, we call it released now".

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Arks release was bs. Game is still buggy asf.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0
