On Valentine’s Day, Remember To Treat Yo Self!

Ah, Valentine’s Day. For some of us, it’s a joyful celebration of love with a significant other. For many of us, it’s a either reminder that we lack a romantic partner or an obligation to shower our current partner with flowers, chocolate, and gifts. It’s hardly surprising that not many people care for Valentine’s.

If Valentine’s this year has you feeling down, we here at eBay have an important suggestion: TREAT YO SELF! Instead of turning February 14 into a day where you feel like you’re lacking something, celebrate it as a day to reward yourself for being amazing. Because you are, you know. You rock.

But I’m Broke! How Do I Treat Myself?!

We love ourselves some retail therapy, but unless it’s in your budget, a shopping spree might cause a big headache come your credit card bill. Here are some suggestions for making your day extra special without breaking the bank:

- Cook yo self a nice dinner! Forego the unsatisfying ramen or pricey takeout, look up a recipe, and get some fresh groceries. Your tummy will thank you.
- Indulge yo self! Curl up with some popcorn and a good movie, replay a nostalgic JRPG video game (looking at YOU, FFVII), take a long bubble bath, or do something that makes YOU happy.
- Heal yo soul! Volunteer at a non-profit animal rescue. They will thank you profusely for the help and you’ll learn that kitten therapy is the best medicine in the world.

However you choose, we hope you can use this Valentine’s Day to celebrate YOU. In fact, we want to help you treat yo self!

We’re Bringing The Love

It wouldn’t be a Valentine’s gift without a little love. The Treat Yo’ Self Box includes one of our very favorite games, Love Letter. This 2 to 4 player card game is easy to learn, small enough to carry with you, and quick enough for a spontaneous bout of gaming.

In Love Letter, the players are courtiers trying to deliver their declaration of love to the princess. (If it seems a bit familiar, it’s because you’re seen it before in our second post on board games). We’re including the original version, but you’ll find many variations licensed to specific properties, like Munchkin, Adventure Time, and Batman.
