Cooper has an estimated worth of $50M. The Vanderbilt family still owns hundreds of millions in real estate. The Vanderbilt name is still pretty much a blank check. I never took anything away from what Anderson did, just pointed out it's a lot easier to walk away when you have one hell of a safety net.
