Esther Honig is a 24-year-old journalist who lives in Kansas City, Missouri. She was inspired with the idea of sending a natural photo of herself to 40 people in 25 different countries with the simple request to "make [her] beautiful".
Her inspiration came from the idea that Photoshop has allowed us to reach unattainable and to be quite frank, ridiculous standards of beauty, but seeing beauty vary across the globe makes that standard even more illusive.
