No more shaking paint like a peasant for me!

I can't take credit for this, I saw this on a YouTube tutorial when I was looking for solutions to thick paints. But let me tell you, it works good. The end of the clamp is similar in size and shape to the saw blades, so the saw chuck easily tightens down tight on the clamp. Add thinner to the paint if it's super old and dry, and bingo bango bongo, we have usable paint again.

Sure you can play it safe and buy a $40 dedicated paint mixer, or you can use one of these and get paints look they came fresh off the factory line.

As a person with a technical background, I really do enjoy this!

A wise man to use the bathroom. Most surfaces are wipe clean.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Despite being in business for 40 years, Citadel has yet to make a paint pot that doesn't suck.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The older ones with screw caps were fine, but fucking hell I wish they could just move to droppers

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i've been reasonably happy with them myself... but maybe i just lack experience with better.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've switched to Vallejo. I pay enough for models, I won't use their paint.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's unfortunate that yes, that's about what it needs. What is that, grey seer?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Corax White. It was stupid thick even though it was brand new!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously though, that's a brilliant idea. Also, get the medium, it really does help.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuuuuuuuuuu....... I got to try that

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I see this going one of two ways: 1. Perfectly mixed paint... or 2. CITADEL BUKKAKE!

6 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

This made me laugh so hard on the toilet thank you +1

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Citadel Bukkake" is not a phrase I expected to come across today.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So far it's been perfectly shaken paint like it's fresh from the factory. But I always wear safety glasses in case of option 2.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

damn that word, making me laugh so hard at the office

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

perfectly mixed citadel bukkake ?

What is this, a paint bucket for ants?

6 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 1

The worst paint container ever invented by humanity, very spillable with a large attached lid that gunks up easily and a bitch to open.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A paint bucket for Warhammer 40,000 minatures, which may as well be ants!

6 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

real answer; probably paints for models/wargaming minis, eg D&D, WH40K, plastic kits, etc.

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

oh, yea. it's a tub of Citadel paint; that's literally Games Workshop's brand, so yea, WH40K

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Citadel paint.

And it was a good one, thanks pal lmao

It’s always hard to get the pigment and the water to mix with just a brush. I like this idea!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

works for mixing natural peanut butter as well

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m now thinking clamps on a reciprocating saw for quart sized and above. Bolts for “structural integrity “

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

https://www.mixkwik.com/ this is designed for a reciprocating saw. Works great for spray paint and natural peanut butter

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

lololol I wish i thought of that but ended up just buying a nail polish shaker... 30 bucks and works like a dream

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't shake nail polish, it will get little air bubbles in it making it dry all bumpy.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ve taken to putting BBs, marbles or small nuts n bolts in the bottle and putting it in my pocket and going for a walk or quick jog.

I'll take a video next time I use it to recover some especially old paint. Stay tuned!

upgrade to a sawsall and two of those quikgrips and I bet it'd work

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But can it reliquify a week-old pot of Ceramite White?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes! I've done this to solid paints. I add some airbrush paint thinner, then bingo bango bongo the shaker makes it usable.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nothing can. Not even the grace of the Emperor himself.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's why it's Ceramite White. Starts off as a liquid, dries harder than ceramite.
