So I write on the r/HFY subreddit for a while under the same username for some time and have been writing a somewhat popular sci fi series. Eventually I decided to run a roleplaying group through discord and Roll20 using the GURPS 4e rules. So I make a general invite to the subreddit looking for people interested.
It's all going well, lots of people show up. And one user who will remain anonymous for both our sake is very obviously a furry. It's all good I think, I enjoy the odd furry art so hey we have that in common.
Pretty much out of the gate this guy is telling me what NSFW post he'd love to see me write and how I should hook up the lead character with a dragon because it'd be hot and what not. So I laugh it off. then we start the game properly and he just HAS to make a snowflake character who tries to fuck. every. single. NPC he can.
Wants to get some water from some primitive tribes people. blow the food merchant, bored at a space station, try to hook up with an NPC.
And at this point he's constantly messaging me about things that he wants to do in game which I'm fine with but he completely wants to change the tone of the game and it's driving me insane.
EDIT: Okay so given the tone of the comment section I would just like to say that No, I'm not going to bully or humiliate them for it. I'm just saying i GET why people don't like them but it's no excuse to bully people or justify wanting to hurt them. Do some of them take it too far? Yes, but perhaps instead of being asshole and forcing them to only be in their echo chamber for fear of reprisal just makes it worse. Hate isn't going to solve anything here.
