No, its all just editing, the galaxy pics are from the Hubble site.

I've read about tilt shifting numerous times and I still have no idea how it works. Awesome pics though.

Do you really get this effect just by blurring the top and bottom of the pictures, or is there more to it?

A lot of these are just blurred top and bottoms but to make things feel miniature I mask certain objects like the solar plant tower.

I also do a bit of editing to the colour and shadow to make it more colourful, sort of mimicking a scale model.
