Can be clearing of fire sectors, preparing for driving wide vehicles on that street, removing IED-opportunities, clearing retreat routes, felling trees to use for barricades or any number of reasons. I know there are Israeli's who protest what's happening and the thought occurs that Israel may be headed for the same division the US is facing. Palm Trees? They've been destroying people's HOMES in the West Bank for decades. Israel claims it needs to site for security, then gives the residents as little as 45 minutes to permanent leave the home their family may have lived in for generations. A bulldozer then demolishes the house. Standard practice since the 1990s.
