I started this pattern when I was going through a gnarly break up. I worked on it through my move to New York, my bout with homelessness and my work search. I'm proud to have made something productive out of it. #diy #mildly_interesting #embroidery #cross_stitch #art #vangogh

Very nice. But the order was for four placemats. You're running a bit behind.

Do you have a page where I can find more of your work?

Honestly it's a pretty new hobby, but I'll upload some more stuff later today or tomorrow.

I've just started a cross stitch of The Great Wave. Apparently it should take 3 months...which is not going to happen!

I think I've got this pattern saved! I'm just so anxious about starting it.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You should do it! It wasn't hard, just took forever, also, make sure you trace the grid onto your fabric.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't be anxious. Just take it one stitch at a time.

You didn’t make shit, you just stole another person’s work (and famous at that) Starlight Night by Vincent Van Gogh, you worthless ass!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 12

So true..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

They didn’t steal anything. It’s a recreation and it’s not even a painting, it’s embroidery. Plus they acknowledged it was Van Gogh in the #

Starry*

Absolutely! The egg is all over my face on this one! Thank you!

Is it folded at the top, or have you stitched to the very top of the cloth?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's folded over to keep the fabric from unraveling, I made the mistake of starting too close to the top

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, always give yourself a good inch at each side. It's tragic to get through all that, then see it unravel! Difficult to frame too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3 inches each size is standard.
