I’ve never liked my name. It’s based on my grandma’s name who was named after her grandma. My girlfriend calls me a pet name that feels more like me, but if everyone called me that, it would feel less special. Lately when I hear my birth name, it feels like nails on a chalkboard.
A name is just a name. If it does not fit, pick a different one. Share your name far and wide. A name should be selected by someone who loves you. Please read and feel that statement. Those that love you will respect and repeat it.
My brother told people his name was a popular actor's name. He refused to stop doing that. So our folks had his name changed legally after a couple of more years.
And then i read some deranged, possibly fake reddit thing where some guy got named "Sabrina" because an aunt died, and they wanted to honor her {by ruining his childhood.) Because she was a hateful bitch, i can only guess, but they loved her because they were also terrible? Eventually he changed his name to "Sabe," which you will note is not a name, instead of just swapping his middle name or something. The part where i assume fake is where they still go ballistic over this
You would think, but I'm assuming they were gonna pronouce it "Sayb" The whole thing is just cringy AF, but reddit seems to love cringy bullshit, esp if there's an older female figure who's out of her goddamn mind. You know, because women be trippin. I actually mute all the mainline large subs, so i would've seen this from a repost somewhere

In my defense I get everyone’s name wrong but I’ll always correct myself.
