Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain

The world in Metal Gear Solid has never been bigger. Using your iDroid to plan out your mission is crucial.

A day in the game actually lasts 24 whole hours. Sneaking in at night reduces enemy visibility, thus making it easier, yet security could be increased, since they expect an attack. Using the Phantom Cigar makes time pass faster, since waiting around is never any fun.

Map while using the Phantom Cigar. The guards have shifts, so they will swap with other soldiers. They will even go to sleep in designated buildings.

Sandstorms, rain, and more ! The game even has dynamic weather. Keep an eye on that weather report on your iDroid.

Using your mechanical arm, you can climb up on cracks. The arm features many different attachments, such as a taser feature to knock out enemies.

CQC has been greatly improved, and is actually very useful and knocks enemies out. It can also be used to grab enemy weapons, chain CQC enemies (Like in Peace Walker) and more.

Fulton recovery is no longer finite. It costs money, and does not have to be equipped. Keep extracting as long as you have the money to support it. Also stealing goats for future purposes.

Mother Base NEEDS THIS

The box has been upgraded with a ton of new features as well. You can fulton while having it equipped. Deploy it with swimsuit models on the side to distract enemies, or eject from the side of it to avoid being spotted.

Getting creative with your equipment is always permitted.

Attach C4 to jeeps, fulton it away, blow it up next to helicopter.

Another feature is the partner system. Quiet is one of them, with more to be added later. Position your supernatural ally to scout for you, and take the shot when necessary. She will also hum, given her mute nature, when she spots enemies.

Order Quiet to shoot and propel your grenade toward enemy helicopters for amazing plays.

Have her shoot helmets off during slow-down to ensure easy tranquilizer head shots.

Set up with your partner the kind of combos that other games can only manage scripted.

DD (Diamond Dog) is another partner. Not much is known about his capabilities, however it is known that he is an optional partner.

Visit Mother Base in person. No two Mother Bases will be the same. Each player has his own and invading other bases is part of the multiplayer. Fighting on someone's home turf will be quite a challenge.
