Typical, 3-4 doing all the work everyone else waiting to take credit.

Me as a child: Off to get the gasoline!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look at that. They're burrowing, right?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just talk to the foreman Ant and tell her its not the right house , the right one is next block!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wanna set that log on fire and listen to the crackling pops of their tiny bodies exploding. I detest ants.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Neat!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It would suck if someone chopped it...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can someone please edit this to have quiet little "peh, peh, pth, peh" sounds and upload it?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I WOULD love to see inside that home

We are the ants to the governments of the insect world. One ant can't stop a grasshopper. But if we all unite, we can rule once again.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Almost as fun as watching carpenter bees. Stupid bastard loves borrowing into our pressure treated deck, yet ignores the dead tree.

5 years ago | Likes 168 Dislikes 0

I think they like the chemicals in the deck...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't they make very small chairs and tables,?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuuuuuuuck carpenter bees...

5 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 4

I love them, but I wish they'd stop eating the pressure treated deck and eat the shit that isn't toxic for them.

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Our shutters were infested. I sprayed the foam into their labyrinths. It was like something out of a movie. Little feet were coming out of

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

the holes where I had previously poked screwdrivers through as they tried to escape. I felt bad for the little guys.

Here in Arizona we seldom have termite issues but the carpenter ants take their place on any untreated wood. Fun to watch.

5 years ago | Likes 372 Dislikes 0

My dad had termites in Phoenix. Visited one day and noticed a foot long mud tube growing down from the ceiling in his guest room.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Theyll nest in treated wood as well. Them lil fuckers don't care.

They should be called demo ants.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

we need videos. (No carpenter ants in Finland :( )

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We also had carpenter bees in the woodpile and gates at our place. Harvester ants were fun to watch clear land.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a kid I'd watch them and imagine they were city workers.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is this all of Arizona or just the parts that get hot? Wait, never mind...

5 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

The high country forests which are about 1/3 of the state aren't insanely hot and this is where the ants are most located.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

We have two seasons, hot and extra crispy, but sometimes it rains. Whole new world of weird to be in a warm rainstorm.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Spa is the word, hot and humid.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's only during the monsoons when it gets humid. When it rains other times, it's hot rain but doesn't stay long enough to get humid.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

True enough

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You might be surprised at how cold it can get in Arizona. That winter wind in Flagstaff can be absolutely brutal.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Ex Tusonian here, Mt Lemmon on the north side of the city has rather decent snow skiing.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I want to live in YOUR part of Arizona. I've lived here for 50 years and have had termites nearly everywhere. Indoors and out of doors.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Huh... I've seen termites here but never in the numbers that carpenter ants get. It could be coincidental.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've hiked in the desert a lot. I've seen a lot of carpenter ants, but the amount of vegetation-shaped dirt from termites is staggering.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's like little above ground tunnels damn near everywhere. Crazy to watch them swarm around sunset.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I grew up on the rim and I am sure that is part of the difference.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah. Definitely! What part of the Rim? I've spent most of my life on the far eastern edge of the Phoenix area. AJ.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Used to love going up and hiking out the actual "rim" and just hanging out with the views.
