FP Edit: Damn, didn't think this would get more than a few upvotes. Anyway, instead of requesting nudes, I ask for poorly drawn pictures of dragons. If done by yourself, even better.

Even if you dont agree, who the fuck deletes someone on Facebook for a comment?

Does it bother anyone else that Obama's being blamed for all the homeless vets? I mean, it's not like he evicted them from the White House..

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

95 million people are out of work in the US. 59 million refugees worldwide. 11 million illegal aliens. Tell me again why we need this?

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

American Service member here. I agree with you 100%. 2nd, these people are why we fight for freedom! So that all can enjoy it

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 7

There are tons of homeless people in America. Anyone care to volunteer or donate more money to charities?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

It's actually something like 80K-ish homeless veterans, jussayin'

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Oh yes let's implement policies to help the homeless only to have the either cut or criticized for existing. You can't win.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yep. But it's okay cause many donate privately! (just not enough to make the difference we need)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When Obama claimed he was helping migrants, most of the money went to partisan political crony's.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Honestly they are not war refugees anymore when they choose a country with the most economical benefits. Yet they all walk past Hungary etc.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ever read about the conditions in Hungary? What economical benefits? They don't get a huge amount of money in central europe.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The original post was a pile of shit and you were right to fact-check it. Those "family friends" are not actual friends.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 10

While the top is horseshit and inflammatory the bottom one is a valid sentiment/opinion to hold. Although I don't see why not both?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately it's almost impossible to know which ones are Isis agents.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

Exactly why risk it?

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

There is an absolutely excellent video put out by Kurzgesagt on this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvOnXh3NN9w Enjoy <3

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All homeless need help, not just vets.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

The Syrian war is not "mostly caused by us"

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

No, but constant meddling since '03 has created an environment where ISIS can flourish so I think the US has some responsibility here.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

True, but still by no means our fault

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You honestly don't want to associate with these people anyway.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Doesn't change the fact that vets in general will most likely be treated worse than refugees from countries that hate us

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 9

Talk to the VA, they are the ones fucking up

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just because the government of a place doesn't like the US government doesn't mean the people who live there have any issue with Americans

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

On the contrary, I think you'll find governments have higher opinions of the US than the average person.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

It doesn't help that there is so much anti-US propaganda in some countries

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Regardless, what's done is done. Their opinion is their opinion now. There's also the inevitable increase in violent crime that comes along

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I agree with the meme. Fuck the refuges. You think their country would give you anything if you showed up penniless?

Got a source on that?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not to mention our intelligence department is convinced that there WILL be ISIS members among the group of refugees one way or another.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

There also does seem like their would be an increase in violence, like with the dude in that gif a while back trying to give them food.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It must be kind of nice to have assholes remove themselves from your life so easily. Must make life pretty easy.

10 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 17

Not so easy when said assholes are your immediate family that you can't move away from.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But the point is they already moved away from you, right?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish it were that easy to get rid of the assholes in my life!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My cousin is convinced that the refugees are actually trained forces coming to invade. This is a grown man with a government job.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

ISIS has said they are loving this refugee crisis and are sending in troops with them. It isn't all of them obviously but it is happening.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Considering he has a government job, that doesn't surprise me

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

100000 armed men couldn't do shit even if they were dropped off in DC, so why would 10000 unarmed men matter?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I care infinitely more about supporting our veterans than foreign refugees.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Por qué no los dos?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Porque nosotros no tenemos el dinero por los dos. Me gustan somos veteranos mucho mas.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How about the 80K plus homeless here in Los Angeles (the land of compassionate liberals) that nobody gives a rats anus about?

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 10

Cities are far less capable of helping situations like this than countries.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually LA just announced a $100 million program specifically to address the issue.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

That's only $1,250 per homeless person, while it's a good start I don't see it solving the issue...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and I disagree. I know a lot of people who are working very hard to address this. Tons of people care about it.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

that watermark tho: www.unclesamsmisguidedchildren.com wtf!?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Misguided children actually seems like the perfect name

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its an acronym for USMC. Marines take it as a term of endearment but as one myself that page just spread bullshit propaganda and muslim hate

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's an Instagram page owned by a vet and 90 percent of it is government hate.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Even if we did take in 100,000 Syrian refugees that's still a small fraction of the 4,000,000 that are out there

10 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 20

The US is the single largest supporter of the refugee camps in Turkey and Jordan.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I live in Buffalo. First thing I thought of when I saw refugee families were being turned away was "we'll take them!" we've got so much room

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sadly, if only human race was thinking as you did.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

We've been taking in more Sudanese refugees every year from one war for over 25 years. This is not a new or bad habit of America.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I used to work in refugee assistance and got to work with some of the Sudanese Lost Boys. Amazing people.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know, right? I went to college with three of them and a lost girl. I'm so glad MI winter was the biggest problem in their lives then.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We were a huge cause of the problems - we bombed Bashir but aren't willing to fill the power vacuum.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 15

1/2 Nooo. ISIS grew because of the war in Iraq, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib and other prisons like it. Capeable Iraqi officers joined the loonies

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 and suddenly you have a terrorist org. with people who actually know war tactics. In Syria there's a civil war that ISIS exploits

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What. No we haven't.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

We've bombed radical sunni groups like AQ ISIL KHOROSAN GROUP. Bashir in power means that we dont have a libya or Iraq situation.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

How is this being up voted. You aren't misleadinginformation

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Thats a small fraction of the 900,000 total and about 400,000 syrians Germany took in... THIS YEAR. you guys have geographical advantage.

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

Germ has to take so many in because they have an aging population that is going to decrease without an influx of new bodies. Also compassion

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 15

Also the fact that WW2 happened and they probably feel pressure to change their image.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

That's ridiculous. Germany could easily work on a program to get its own people to have more children.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Lol no.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

A lot of people here in Europe are angry at the American Gouverment, for we have to take care of the refugees of their wars.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 5

That's fair. You guys can be the war starters again in a bit. It's been America's turn since after WWII.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Fair? We're talking about humans here! How about EVERY Country stops fucking shit up. By now they should know that it's not working.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

As much as I hate US foreign policy and military intervention practices, the US had the same experience post-WWI & WWII. The major (1)

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I couldn't agree more. But People tend to forget that

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

world powers will always make shitty decisions and leave the pieces to others to pick up. This isn't a strictly American phenomenon.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

No one cared about homeless before the huge refugee movement what is going on now. Coincidence? I think not.

10 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 18

That is literally half of the posts on that Instagram page you ignorant fuck.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Finding exactly the same thing on my U.K Facebook for exactly the same reason. These people have an answer for everything.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Same here in Germany. A lot of people try to use homeless as an argument against refugees and most of them never gave a shit about them...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those kind of people only care about homelessness when they can bring it up to forward a personal agenda.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plenty of people cared about the homeless before and presently... as a conservative I give what I can spare... 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

You should give as a decent human not as a conservative

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

to private charities. They have proven to be far more efficient with funds than gov. sponsored programs. I'm all for accepting refugees 2/3

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

because this was a country founded on immigration. The Gov is just far less efficient when it comes to helping people.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

Should specify the US government is less efficient. Other countries seem to do it a lot better..

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

On the surface, from an outsider's perspective, based solely off of information we are given, maybe.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Either they unfriended you in 3 minutes or you screenshotted this in anticipation.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

The person who posted it deleted me. But I noticed they did on my phone, so I still had the comment up on my PC, so I took a screen shot

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

They also deleted my comment, and I took the screen shot to show my wife in the first place, and then felt like sharing

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

good catch

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He never said the person who posted the original deleted him. Could have been other people.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Great response to an ignorant post.

10 years ago | Likes 360 Dislikes 47

Except the "wars mostly caused by us" part. Anyone who things middle east conflict is b/c of the US missed a few thousand years of history.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

But Obama is Christian, celebrates mass on Sundays with several Republican phonies, they still say he's muslim and working with terrorists.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 8

Obama is protestant, there were close to none christian president in the history of United states. I'm Canadian and I know that come on

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think you are confusing Christian and Catholic. Both protestants and catholics are Christian. Christian = believing in Christ

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which will sadly be dutifully ignored (or treated with comtempt) by the ignorant masses that would like the image in the first place.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I understand they are just being heinous, but we really do need to take care of our veterans.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

A problem that Obama is trying to solve. http://www.va.gov/homeless/about_the_initiative.asp

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We deffinetly need to take better care of our veterans. My father was in for 22 years and my brother has been in for 6 years now I believe.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I work for the VA, and it all depends on which clinic/hospital you're at I'm sure, but my clinic works so hard to treat/care for our vets.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The VA gets skewered in the media, but please trust that the majority of us love our jobs and care for our patients.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh I know you do, it's just that it bothers me that we are helping people who have nothing to the country before those who have life andlimb

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

We need to fix our internals before putting effort into the external. We need a decade of concerted effort to unfuck infrastructures.

10 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 26

If you look at a list of the other countries accepting refugees, we're among the least fucked internally.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

But we only start caring about the global refugee situation after the Mid-East? Africa in shambles, Darfur genocide, they the wrong color?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd rather we just cut a chunk out of the military budget and reapply it to infrastructure, education, healthcare, housing, etc.

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 8

F-35 anyone?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And helping out a few thousand of the most desperate people on the planet will make it impossible?

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

If we're really concerned about the most desperate we would have taken the majority of the displaced from Sudan/Darfur. So that's not it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isn't that an American History X quote?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's straight Tiger Sauce. Google it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The second one down under Derek is what I was reminded of. https://en.m.wikiquote.org/wiki/American_History_X

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Greece took in refugees. If Greece can manage it, I somehow think the United States could.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

We've sent $547 million in aid. They are no more deserving than the other refugees of the world. Horn of Africa is still brutal.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Greece did so unwittingly. They just showed up in boats, and the reports are the camps are inhumane. No one is ready.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The suffering in Africa has gone on longer and to a much worse extent. Should they not have priority? Or does it become race issues again?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why should we help, when we can't even help our own people? We have no obligation to them whatsoever.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Let the Syrians be dealt with by those countries much closer.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, cut down on extrinsic spending, but harboring refugees is cheaper than, say, invading iraq.

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

We can stay out of the mid-east all together and save a ton of money. Including our recent screw-ups with "helping" Syria that started this.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As if the GOP gives a fuck about veterans anyway.

10 years ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 68

I tried to upvote this six or seven times, but unfortunately imgur hates America and wouldn't let me. :(

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 13

Actually, it is kind of an American pastime to not give much of a fuck about veterans.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sadly, I agree, This is actually been a problem with the government in general. Both parties are to blame.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and you think the dems do?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

More than the GOP

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Republican here, serving active duty, but soon to be a Veteran. Obama has actually done a tone to help veterans. I believe in Bernie too

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

ton* fuck I misspelled something! I'm gonna' hear it for that...maybe

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

As a currently serving military member the GOP gives the most fucks about us out of any party which is still not saying much.

10 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 31

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Thank you. I've never been in direct combat because I work in intel.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a vet- when you get out the GOP gives absolutely zero fucks about you. They take care of you like a tool and throw you away after.

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

Five years in and I never saw/heard anything that could give me any impression whatsoever that republics/democrats cared more.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 4

You should do some homework on the history of the VA under the GOP

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Hate to break it to u but they only care about themselves not us. Not any of us. military or civilian

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

It's all lip service. They pander to the right-wing Americans who say things like "these colors don't run". None of them care about us.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Wait until you're out!

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

I'm a Democrat and I'm showing my support by trying to keep the US from fighting any more unnecessary wars.

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 7

GOP cares about spending money for wars, once you're out they don't care about taking care of you.

10 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 7

They say they do but time and time again they vote against bills that are designed to help Vets. Always siting budget concerns

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 10

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or if they say something like "99% of people won't share this". Ug.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He did manage to do a lot, so there is that.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

what

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any excuse to hate him for something other than being black.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

It's not about the facts, it's about the outrage. People like that need their fix, and they'll latch onto anything that justifies it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Different people. He's a Christian who sat through extremist, racist, hate filled sermons for years for political expedience.

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 13

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Because they would rather call him the N-word in public but can't

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 7

I've heard this line before but could never find a source. Can you link it for me, please? Thanks.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Learn to google, its not hard, try Clinton Obama muslim rumor, most point to recent Morning Joe, but go back to 2008.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Breitbart news just ran an article on it a few days ago.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was also on cnn just a day or two ago. Most mainstream media including Fox is not talking about.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's more that people are sure that SOMETHING is illegitimate about him, and whatever will do.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

There is, he's black, that just was never going to be okay with a lot of people. They won't admit it, but that's it.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Well, if you think about it Bill Clinton got similar treatment. He didn't quite keep his nose as clean, but he was arguably mistreated.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's the sad conclusion I have come to. It's crazy just how BADLY these people want to hate him.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

He's either a bad Christian who doesn't follow the Bible, a secret muslim or an anti-thiestic athiest, all depending on the weather.

10 years ago | Likes 196 Dislikes 2

I got a text last night saying "pray for our country as the Pope visits a man who doesn't follow the Ten Commandments!!!" like any of us do?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've looked into this somewhat recently, really debatable depending on your views of Baphomet.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Churchill was Pagan. It blew my mind to learn that.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I think it was quite popular back then.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I got downvoted when I said Obama got a lot of hate just because there's racial hatred exists even now.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 8

BUT on the other hand, there are people who like him (and/or voted for him) just because he is black. Not saying that makes the dislike OK.

Hey hey hey. It wasn't just because he was black. It's cause the other option was Palin AND he was black.

Or McCain, or Romney. Both of which also terrible options.

I dislike Obama for a litany of policy reasons, but even I'll admit there's a chunk of people (maybe 5-10%) who dislike him for being black.

Can confirm. Am related to people in that 5-10%. Family functions are always so much fun.

I'm afraid there's more. Remember the Cheerio ad that feature a mixed race couple? It got a lot of racist hate.

It got a lot of noise yes. But remember, 5% of the USA is 15 million people. Not to mention controversial statements get more news coverage.

Yeah that's pretty reasonable. I just shocked that it got news coverage.

Or because he's a Democrat. There's a chunk who hate all Democrats, though I have no idea how big that chunk is.

That's a much more legitimate complaint. A political party has a certain set of principles they campaign on/for.

you're X."

But it's frequently used to justify not listening to someone's actually decent ideas. "I hate you and I'm not listening to you because

5-10%? Have you been to the deep south? The depth of hatred they have for this man goes beyond reason.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I have not. But how many of them base their hate on JUST him being black? Mississippi has a population of nearly 3 mil. Even if half 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

base their dislike of Obama for race alone, that's only 1.5 million people or 0.5% of the whole country. I stand by my 5-10% guess. 2/2

I live about as deep south as you can get without falling into the Gulf of Mexico. Yet I don't see very many blatant racists in my area.

Almost no one is blatantly racist, and almost no one will admit it's about that, but the hate is.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly yes racial hatred exists. However most don't hate Obama for that. They hate him because of the D by his name.

- still treated badly. I mean someone posted "The Green Book" in imgur.

I honestly don't think so. I think they dislike him because of the D by his name, but the racial element turns it into hate for too many.

You mean H? Barack Hussein Obama? Also I based my reason because tolerance only started to work in the 80s up. 70s and before black men are-

D for Democrat.

That's exactly what I mean. Political parties are divisive.
