I take my dogs on road trips!

Aug 6, 2017 7:37 PM

First time I took them on a trip was to Scotland. We started with Edinburgh. They liked the Scottish pipes.

Somewhere in the Scottish Highlands. I try to stop in places where they can have a good run before hopping back into the car.

By the shore in the north of Scotland. They love water. Sea water does not agree with them and they tend to get water fountain out of their asses, but they are getting better with it. It's a learning process.

The Glenfinnan Viaduct. Some of you may recognise it from Harry Potter movies. As a HP fan it was my favourite spot and the dogs got a good run. There is a small steram nearby where they cooled off a bit.

A stop over somewhere in the Highlands. The views are great and the open space just makes you want to run along with the dogs up and down the hills.

Scotland has some great hidden places where they serve amaaaazing food. The dogs didn't get to try the crabs we had, but they appreciated the smells.

My favourite picture of the two of them. I posted it here last year, but it had to be a part of this album.

Here is Plum enjoying the view on Luxembourg.

Getting touristy and artsy with the Dancing House in Prague.

Posing by the Charles Bridge in Prague.

Here is one from Cornwall. Right on top of that hill stands King Arthur's castle. The staircase is very narrow, so we only hanged out in the lower parts like commoners.

Mars by one of the ports in Cornwall.

St Michael's Mount in Cornwall. When the tide goes down, the island is accessible through the stone pathway. For the rest of the day it is under water. We got into the island and had a short walk on the grounds.

By the Irish Sea on a trip to Lake District.

Wastwater Lake in the Lake District. It was a great location for landsapes and for fetch game.

Revisiting Edinburgh. Here with the Edinburgh Castle.

Wroclaw in Poland. We go to Poland twice a year, for Chriatmas and over the Summer.

Vienna. It was very hot that day. We kept to the grass, the streets were too hot for their paws.

Coarle, Italy. We stayed the night in here before heading to Venice. We got up very early to let them run a bit in the sea before the tourists woke up.

Venice was great. Very hot day, but they cooled down in the canal like small gondolas and there were many water fountains that dogs can drink from.

Overseeing the Geneva Lake in Geneva (duh). There wasn't any easy access to the water, so they had to stick to the park.

We stopped over in Lyon for lunch. The weather was quite stormy, but we still managed to get a nice shot.

Handsome has too dogs and enough money to travel? I think I have a man crush

How do you find food and lodging with them?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I normally use booking.com and apply pet friendly filter. As for food, i take a bag of dry food and a couple of cans with us.

Or just roast the road kill.

@op. as a luxembourger, i like the inclusion of my little country. How was the stay?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

We only went there for a couple of hours, but we had a nice weather, so got to walk around a lot. Great parks and views in general.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm always jealous of how Europeans can travel so much to other countries. I gotta drive 3 hrs here to get to another state! Looks awesome.

Solution: move to England. Same language, similar/better food, cheapest healthcare, more travel

Fuck off, we're full.
