Flipped my car on a gravel road out here in buttcrack Saskatchewan.

Car is pretty banged up. It's not worth fixing.

Tire is gone. We found it later.

The axle snapped right off.

It was a nice view at least. I crawled out of the sun roof.

You can see that the rim and bolts are still together. I was sliding sideways and it ripped off.

I slid for long enough in the ditch that I didn't roll completely.

Blurry picture of where I stoped. (Blurry because I was shaking pretty gard)

Final picture of the car. The seatbelt atopped me from flying around in my car. The thing saved my life, please, wear your seatbelt.

It's ok it's only a caviller

Another sunfire bites the dust. My first car was a sunfire, but I put it into a wall, yeah seatbelts are awesome :)

THAT BEAUTIFUL CAR

It hurt so much to see the tow truck haul it away.

*Cuts out seatbelt and turns it into a sweater* There. Now I'm wearing it.

Deja vu!

I listen to that song way too much.

"It was a nice view at least" don't need to tell op to stay positive

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's pretty gardcore

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I saw what you did there...not funny but I saw it so you got that going for you which is nice.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is that a typo, or a pun? Cause it's funny if it's a pun.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it was a pun, but actually, wouldn't it be more funnier if it had happened by accident?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that how you plow fields in Canada?

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Can confirm, we roll millions of cars yearly just to maintain bountiful harvests, this is a Pontiac, but Ford's work well too

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Crap, Fords **

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So sorry OP, scary journey! Seatbelt really did save you from serious injury.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Where in Sask?? Miss the smell of the canola fields.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

About 45 minutes from Saskatoon.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A 17 year old kid just flipped his car near swift current and had to be air lifted, but he's ok now. Glad to hear you are too.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@OP Looks like you landed yourself in a field of Rape. No, seriously, that looks like Rapeseed.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is. What a lively name for a crop.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And funny you mention Canada and drive a Sunfire, seeing as there are TWO different Sunfires that appeared in Canada.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's also a good idea to not drive like an idiot.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Your car get raped! (Canola....rape..... Field of canola.....nah)

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

tisdale, before the town motto was made lame

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I understood that reference.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rapeseed, yes. :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm glad you're okay. Also, the fucking prettiest car crash ever, right here.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks. It's definitely not the worst car crash I've ever seen.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have to say though, if I rolled my car and got out and saw a beautiful field of flowers, those blue skies...I'd totally think I was dead.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So judging by the gravel and the no traffic .....

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

What are you implying?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Your car wanted to frolic in the fields or you were trying to do a Back to the Future

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

You live in a nice area

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Beautiful spot for a car wreck!

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

*stands on top of the car and admiringly gazes at his surroundings* "30 feet."

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It gets old after a while.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

And that was the last pontiac sunfire left that was actually driving on the road...amazing

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

sadly not even close

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Buttcrack is a weird name for a city.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Indian Head, Eyebrow, Elbow, Climax. We've got strange names for towns out here.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, we have a buttcrack fire department and everything m

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So that crash was in Buttcrack rape?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get it, speed is fun, but be safe. Those rural roads are shittier than the city roads in Canada; that says a lot

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

We just got a load of new gravel too.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Gravel is picked up too often by wheels with "too much torque" too loose to stay on the ground, unless everyone is driving an 80s traktor

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dRiVe MoRe BeTtER

8 years ago | Likes 260 Dislikes 11

Yep. Hard to flip you're car unless you're driving like a complete jackass. So real lesson should be, don't drive like jackass.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

DoN't TeLl Me WhAt To Do

8 years ago | Likes 119 Dislikes 11

Get gud

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 4

Well if it wasn't a Sunfire you could of drift better. No kidding aside glad your ok

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thanks. I was drifting the other day though. (Not why I hit the ditch :p)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That'll buff right out.

For next time

My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

About $50 in parts to fix, that is just making it road worthy again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol I wish.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Because roadkill

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What'll buff out? I don't see anything wrong.

I stole it too. Don't tell the Dutchman. Shhhhh

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How did you flip it? Swerve from hitting an ear or moose?

8 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

$5 says he was being an idiot whilst driving on a gravel road

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

He explained it.lost a wheel and car swerved because of it

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 15

In Saskatchewan you can see a moose from 5 miles. I'd be surprised if he had to swerve to avoid it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Posting road trip pictures of moose and ear to Imgur

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

damn those giant ears making people swerve :o

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Lol...I meant bear. I guess I could've said moose ears.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

He was texting people to wear their seatbelt

8 years ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But did he spill his beer?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I read sliding sideways as hooning it out then the axle broke, flipping him

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It's a front-wheel-drive car, so it doesn't have a rear axle. And the wheel was torn off after he went into the ditch, not before.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

They never said it snapped off in the ditch. Also, it has a rear axle, just not a driven one. You can totally drift fwd though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I never said they didn't drift. And no, it doesn't have a rear axle, just hubs.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

...which are attached to an axle. Otherwise they wouldn't spin.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Flipped a 19ton truck once. Rolled, ended up upside down. Seatbelt saved my life, walked away from the whole thing with minor bruise. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 Avoided frontal collision with guy who either fell asleep or tuned his radio or whatever, who slid across into my lane. Wear seatbelts!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glad to see you're okay too. A lot of people take seatbelts for granted.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They do, some even say they were saved once because they didnt wear it. Those are the 1/10000 incidents. Mostly you are worse off without...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And I hope you'll mentally be able to drive again after this. Some get fear/anxiety after accidents and refuse to drive. I hope you don't <3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you very much. I'm glad to see that there are such nice people on imgur.
