This is me at 465 lbs. in October of 2016. I was sad and alone. I finally decided that if I couldn't love myself, no one was going to love me. I had just started the appointments to discuss having the gastric bypass surgery with my doctor.
The picture on the left is after I had lost 65 pounds over the course of 5 months by counting calories and was scheduled to have my gastric bypass just a few weeks later on the 1st of May 2017. The right side is me now, 9 months post surgery at 265 lbs!
This is the side view as well! Sorry for the selfies and yes with losing weight I found the energy to clean and organize my room!
I want you all to know that, no matter what your struggles are, you are not a lost cause. I believe that tomorrow will be a new day and a chance to take a step in the right direction. We all deserve happiness and I believe that each of you will be able to find yours.

Congrats on the weight loss and having a jawline again. That's the thing that excited me the most after dropping a buck fiddy last year.

I see a ring appeared on your finger in your profile view too! Got any other news to share with us? :)
Rhysssss
His finger was previously too fat to fit the cool ring over it. Now it's not.
lalababy63

I struggle with this a lot as a big dude. I feel like having surgery is giving up and cheating. Plus I like beer way too much.
AwkwardFatty
That is true, you have to give up carbination. I felt the same I thought it was cheating. Then I realized if i continued on the same 1/2
AwkwardFatty
Path I would die young and alone. I decided my life was worth more than my pride in this case.
lacole725
Which procedure did you go with? I'm in the middle of pre-op stuff for DS.
AwkwardFatty
I went with a full bypass. In my research I found that it had a higher success rate and also gave more potential for total weight loss!
mydarkendgalf5772
Please avoid alcohol, my wife lost weight via the bypass and is now an untreated alcoholic who is flirting with destroying our family..
lacole725
Wow, sorry to hear that. I think that's gonna be one of the most difficult things to give up.
AwkwardFatty
I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, I have always gone easy with it. I wasn't a big drinker prior to my surgery and I don't plan to be after.
SpaceDildos
Whoa dude that's really impressive
Themanfromthesunmoon
You know what would make it more impressive? If he had a cig in his mouth. Hi! Philip from PhilipMorris. Did you know lungcancer is a myth?
Radioactivefarts
Prove it.
Themanfromthesunmoon
This study that we conducted proves it :).
BlueCurious
