Since I was young I was diagnosed with chronic depression and have always been able to manage it, But recently it's been really hard with the company I work for and my personal life. I'm afraid to seek help because everything around me for therapy just blame me and tru to shove meds down my throat and not help. It's getting to the point I just want to give up. I keep on going but each day it just gets worse. To make things worse I can't talk to anyone about it because no one listens or helps.

The implications as to why they willfully made them so stupid, so much so they lose whole battles because of incompetence, is frightening.

I feel this 1000%. I was trying to directly message you. But I hardly ever say anything here. I am always open to hear your story.

Therapists should NOT "blame you". That's not therapy. Whoever is doing that is not conducting therapy.

Most of the therapists I had just sat there and said "sounds like you've had it pretty hard haven't you" absolutely useless.

I'm no psych-whatever.. but can you identify a pattern in whatever "keeps you down"?

Look at meds this way: they’re a catalyst to being more receptive to therapy, not a quick fix.

Same-ish. I can’t get therapy thru ins bc of my job & can’t afford to pay out of pocket anymore. I started taking low dose SAM-e. Look it up

I feel you, bud. I think one of the things that has helped me the most is finding self worth in getting good at some hobbies, it also /1

helps me get my mind off things for a while. Sharing experiences with people that have also felt the same way and understand is also good

Doc explained to me. Meds are to help balance the chemicals so you can absorb the knowledge and benifits of therapy. Then they stop the meds

Take the medicine friend. It might give you the space/reprieve to make more rationale decisions about your treatment. My experience.

Honestly, the idea that no one wants to help you is your illness, not reality. The people trying to help want nothing more than to help 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

they just need you to communicate with them. Tell them what they are doing isn't helping. Even doctors need you to tell them what's wrong./2

Your illness will do everything it can to convince you that no one can or is willing to help you. If you believe nothing else believe that.

Hey, don't give up. Do you have anyone to talk to? Yes there are dark days, but death is forever. Talking to the Dr can help.

As someone with similar vibes, talk therapy has helped greatly. A good therapist doesnt ’t push the meds unless you ask.

Going to the gym at 2am every night helped me more than 15+ medications and years of therapy. Just because I was doing something for me.
